Hi Harjeev,

Good Buy Can you also post some pics of the interiors please.

There are many pics of the exteriors but very few on Gypsy Interiors.

Just want to check the interior condition as i am also on a Gypsy King Hunt, dont know when i'll get lucky.

Cheers,
Raj

Yeah, thats on the cards but maybe in the adventure category and not in the Extreme.

In that case it will be a good idea to strip off the vehicle and reassemble it and replace anything that is not in place. (all the Raid pro`s do that) that will take care of all the issues you are facing.
I still have another 2 months of warranty remaining so will see if the vehicle coughs up any more issues will try to resolve it in extended warranty, if they crop up later, then well I doubt that the parts will be very expensive and will replace with brand new MGP's.

You should do that at lease once before you install the roll cage in case you are planning to get one. I do not own a Gypsy but have driven some and have seen many rally drivers do it. I just realised all of them rev the car before letting go the clutch, so instead of sliping the clutch you can try reving the engine higher and then let go the clutch.
I am trying to do just that and if I rev it up a little then the vehicle doesn't stall. Further the engine timing was a little retarded and they have set that now, so its quite drivable
@Amar
I bought a set of 4 BF Goodrich 215/75/R15's. The guy dint have a 5th tyre with him so will pick it up in a couple of days. Got the Michelin gift pack along with the purchase.

Further I changed all the nuts and bought an elongated spanner as a couple of the old nuts ones were cracking in places. and the original wheel spanner was of no good for the alloys as it came up short.
They nuts cost me 600 for a set of 20 and paid 300 bucks for the wheel spanner with handle & extension.
I decided to keep the alloys for now and later on will buy a set of 5 steel rims and will change whenever I feel like.

@Desmosedici
Will post pictures of the interior over the coming days

I plan to drive the vehicle quite extensively in the time to come, more so as a daily driver, weekend trips with friends n family etc.
Thats the plan for now. Not planning the rollcage anytime soon, but will get an air-con with a heater maybe this summer or the next.

Will send the gypsy to the workshop again to get the front leaf springs changed. These are totally bent upwards. So the ride height will increase a little bit. Apart from this I plan to change the lock assembly, remove the gear lock which was put in by the earlier owner. Thats it for now.

Harjeevji, why is your gypsy lower towards the left? is it because the spring patta need cambering? Where is this gear lock fitted and what does it look like and do?
Regards

the vehicle appears to be lower towards the left as its standing on an incline on the right side. Second the Gear lock is installed near the gear lever inside the car. will take some pics soon and post them.

Hey Mandeep, Buddy I am on the lookout for stock rims and will buy them as soon as I find them. However I've decided to keep these alloys and not sell them at throw away prices. In any case I've not purchased the alloys and got them for free ;-) So I have my fingers crossed that I find a good set before the DS'10 in feb, if not will drive on the alloys only. And in anycase the'alloys are more sturdier and lighter than the stock rims.

Hi Harjeev

The tyres look good. Should give you excellent grip on road and off road.

Why do you want to remove the gear lock? I got one fitted!

Cheers

Harjeev, I strongly urge you to consider the following mods ASAP.

1. Rock crawler gear ratios (Get the contacts from Arjun).
2. SPOA (a la Khan_sultan, as this would be cheaper than Coils)
3. Snorkel and free flow intake (Raj.)
4. Headers and free flow exhaust (Raj.)

This will turn your already capable ride into a formidable one.

Cheers !
