No accelerator input, that is no big deal yaar, every CRDe can do that (technically speaking this is called as low idle governing). If headers' storm with 97 BHP, 3.73 axle ratio, 235 tyres (effective ratio becomes lesser) can do circles, then imagine what a similar vehicle with lesser weight,105 BHP, 4.3 ratio and 235 tyres will be capable of.

@Headers, did you remove the bumpers, footsteps, registration plate before doing these obstacles? It was nice to hear this news about your Storm.

I thought the ratio for Thar was 4.1 and not 4.3!! It is even nicer to hear that Bolero Storm 4wd is on its way. That would surely be my family touring machine!! My Wagon R replacement.

For 4wd storm please give manual 4wd! Since music system has moved up it will not interfere the movement of the gear lever

For off roading i will stick to my trusty old 540 or ......

@headers- Please look out for buyers of your 2wd storm

OT-Dear Behram Sir & Spike, Since we are talking about multitude of 4X4 to be launched from the M&M, I thought it to be the right moment to ask this.

Is it possible to have the Bolero Camper Dual Cab 4x4 with the CRDe engine. I know it comes with XD3P engine and have seen a few in Coorg. Camper DC was my first choice of vehicle but was unable to buy due to Yellow plate. I would be interested to pick one if the above configuration is available.

Spike, we travel to Europe everyday to Europe: LOL

So, dont you think a Storm 4x4 can sell at 7L? Please dont price it at 10L and screw the potential market please.

I do hope your marketing guys are reading this forum somewhere and understand that a 4x4 lifestyle vehicle will never see a decent offroad and vice versa, the world over.

The Bolero is tougher than the Scorpio and can handle well too. The Scorpio 4x4 can be a lifestyle vehicle.

Its high time, the vehicle and pricing is sorted out first before production.

I'm saying this because, when we CAN build decent offroad machines from the market, why can't a manufacturer do better?

And BTW: Not all ECU controlled vehicles have an anti-stall installed to take care of hunting like the Storm::

Does this mean, this is also for European Market only? Xylo 4X4 + Bolero 4X4 (when made). both are going to launched in Europe First or in Europe ONLY

Is this related to Indian Thar or Bolero 4WD?

Thar is taking too long sir.. praying since wish-list..

& please launch a VERY basic 4WD version, so that poor guys like me can buy it as well

Rightly said, the pricing will definitely make or break a lot of decisions and will determine the success of the Thar

Milecruncher, Bolero DC CRDe as of now is available only for exports, the XD3P vehicle you are talking comes with a 4.55 ratio. Why do you need a DC? What is your use?

I agree with what you say regarding pricing, but.. The anti-stall is a matter of tweaking your ECU settings, it can be easily altered.

Spikey my mate, I need a Dual Cab CRDe because:
  1. Me & my better half are the outdoorsy kind
  2. Love travelling on the road less travelled and that also fast.
  3. Through the last 2 years we have almost given up travelling by flight or train. It personal vehicle even if its Hyd - Delhi or such.
  4. Travel with above average luggage (We are Indians after all)
  5. Goes well with our spartan no non-sense attitude
  6. We are not the weekend warriors looking for lifestyle vehicle but need vehicle which is little more than utilitarian.
  7. Cheap to maintain
And last but not the least
  1. With rising diesel prices, I can always ferry local passengers to recover the cost
I hope now you are clear I'm not the ideal target customers for the Thar that your marketing department might have envisaged.

Cheers

P.S: Please pass my above thought with regards to Arif as well
