(although my tyre guy didn't have 235 in BFG)

Had i gone in for the 235's I would've had to change the rims to alloys.
Even with the 215s, teh front left tyre scrapes the leaf spring a bit, before full lock.
Surprisingly, this issue doesn't exist with the right hand side!
Well the 215 is the perfect size if you wanna run on the stock rims without any mods like spacers etc.

The 215's DO NOT touch the leaf's on full lock also. Even in your case that fact that it dosent touch on the right side proves the fact.

I have tried 235's they touch on both sides (front and back respectively) on full lock position. The only 2 ways out are either put spacers and extend your wheel bolds or get negative offset rims.

Hi Kaushik,
I don't want to go in for alloys - I may get those 2-stock-gypsy-rims-combined-into-1 from Allan, for the -ve offset... Lets see...

@ David,
Ya man! If there was a bumper, I would've been singing a different song right now!

I dont think that is required either. Just stay stock, it works better. Well yes if you wanted to go for 235's then doing that is of some use. But now that you have new 215 rubber then just stick to stock.

I'll think about that - anyway getting new steel rims made is a hassle!

The only work that Performance Auto did was a Scorpion paint job, the extra fuel tank and air scoop, well it was because i would have saved time getting those made at my end.

@Amanpreet, A very impressive gypsy.

Looking at your work on your own as well as Amey's Gypsy, I must say you have an eye for detail at the time of restoring these. I am surely getting tempted to venture into getting one restored through you.

Cheers,

Good looking car. But is the front latch on the bonnet really required?

@ Amanpreet.

Hey buddy... Isn't this Gypsy parked somewhere near the flats opposite to the movie theater PVR Spice?
I happened to be there to meet a friend of mine and saw this gypsy there. That was just post Raid though.
