BUG - Which is this Color Code? This is different than the Gypsy Red right?

Do you have the color code for the Gypsy Red.

Which was the primer used and which color was the primer?

Thanks,
Amrth

re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

In what appears to be imminent, Maruti may finally discontinue the production of the venerable Gypsy within the next few years. If the below link is to be believed the biggest purchaser of the Gypsy, our Indian Army has raised the bar on the vehicles it wants and as expected the humble gypsy (which received its last upgrade 13 years ago) doesnt qualify.

The colour is 'Flash Red' of VW Polo.
No idea about the Gypsy red.
Some white primer. Don't know the brand. The body was actually olive green.

Is there a reason why the front bumper and region below the grill were extended? Was this due to a body lift? The extension does give it a better look.

Yes. It was an afterthought. Raised a few inches to accommodate the tyres. Filled the cavity with that extension. They executed it neatly.
See the pics.

Thanks. Is it present on all MPFI Gypsy's? I'm asking this because I saw a 2001 model without it. Any issues if it's not present?

re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

What a great job! It looks even more beautiful now. The color you have chosen suits the Gypsy very well. What is the advantage of the Somedra Singh Groove on the engine head ? Your dogs are beautiful too!

Mr. Dwaraka,

How did this mod work out for you? I've read about him but always wanted a frank before-and-after review. Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Adi
