Nice! Notice how the front axle carrier has been strengthened. Could you advise list of other mods done to prep her for the RFC?

I stay in Marol, Andheri E so very near to Powai. We can meet up anytime.

Here are 3 pics to show how the car has changed from day 1 to today.

Only when we see all 3 pics together can we see how much actually the height has been raised. Also now finally I don't need to worry about bad roads (My earlier daily drive was a vRS). Now I go through Array without any worry. The dirt is not from offroading, its actually just from the Array Roads.

Abhay, looking better all the time. By the way did you just recamber your leaf springs or go with after market lifted springs? Also where did you source your shackles from?

These are stock springs just recambered. I didn't have to source the shackles, the guy who does my cars he makes them.

Thanks Bump Stop, Raj, I know I need to share some latest pics of my vehicle. But will do so soon. I have one posted on the same thread, post #1007 . Have a look.

Abhay I had bumped into Jervis once at a Big Red Tent camping site, so I kind of know him.

Raj, happy to connect. Will PM you my details. Cheers.

Re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

Friends, after so many HOT Gypsies, I give you a modified Gypsy of a different kind, an old man's Gypsy, a Gypsy Station Wagon (as in Willy's Station Wagon) or a Gypsy Five/Four Door. This model was once popular in the hills, and Machino-Techno, the first Maruti dealer of Calcutta, also made many in their own workshop. It is unfortunate that Maruti never brought out a four-door model, it would have sold quite a few to those who like or need a cheap 4WD as a daily drive.

The first snap is of my old 1995 MG410W at the back, with the 2011 MG413W in the foreground. The rest are of the 413W, with stock front seats, modified Bolero mid-seats with ample thigh support and legroom, and modified third row jump-seats from the Sumo Grande, with a bike pannier box under one of them serving as a tool-box. The Bolero seat is normally kept folded down to afford excellent rear-view, also for loading big pieces of luggage, and the backrest lifted only if there are more than two to ride.

Airconditioning, Sony CD player, an overhead blower for the rear seats, fog lamps front and back, extra horn set, and use-when-absolutely-needed reversing alarm and reverse-assist sensors are the other add-ons.
Every door has a door switch and an Omni cabin light above it.

Re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

Four Door Gypsies (Custom built addition) are quite a common sight in Cantonment area, New Delhi.

Probably, High Ranking Officers of Indian Army do not like to sit besides their Drivers or would not like their Wives to be rubbing shoulders with the Drivers and this has led to the additional doors.

But the Sheet metal work and the Paint finish looks quite shoddy on such modifications.
