Nice getup, but do they allow fog/driving lights above the line of headlights in KL ? Particularly those on two sides of the windscreen ?

That's a Bhopal Number (MP04) and I don't think anyone cares about the fogs in MP. The Police in MP still think that Gypsy's are owned by either Politicians, Govt. Officials or belong to the Police. I won't be surprised to see a constable saluting a white Gypsy even today (experienced it in late 80's myself)

Same experience in WB-Calcutta. My white Gypsy is mostly exempt from security checks in malls, 5-star hotels etc, and I get to use the VIP gate at tollways ! At night I get the occasional salutes, too. HIJRAs (third-genders) who extort money from cars at many traffic lights in Calcutta, do not bother me.
But still, being basically law-abiding, I would not fit fogs or floods where the illegality is very visible, particularly in case I happen to drive into another state where they may throw the rulebook at me !

Re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

Does Maruti have any plans to launch Escapade in the near future? Just curious to know. Any idea? Or is this just for the expo? Photo Credits:- Respective owners

Forget MP

Whenever I go to IGI Airport, the attendants at the Parking Entry come running to me and stop me to verify the ownership, though my Gypsy is 100% different from stock.
Their reasoning is that the Gypsies do enter the Paid Parking Entrance and at the Exit, they claim exemption being Govt. Vehicles and causing confusion as the entire system is computerized.

Re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

The Gypsy, presented differently.

This painting by my friend Varsha, as part of her "Product Illustration" project while studying Applied Art. The uniqueness of this poster colour illustration is, the lovely 8"x 5" was painted entirely with a -3 round tip brush, where as all the others used a blend of no. 4, 2, 0 n' -3 brushes... A -3 brush is generally used only for fine outlines and highlight lines ! My friend has this penchant to break norms and try out something different all the time...

One could say that the grill is a bit off, but then she isn't a petrol head .. I liked the play of light she has brought about, with the shine on the tyre, and the over all perspective of Front 3-Q, looking upward to give it an imposing, confident stance.

I like the grill better, it looks sleeker and less toothy. Any way that much artistic license is allowed, I think. A lovely painting, including the glow of the sidelights and indicators, and of course, the shine of the tyres and the stance ! Do convey our appreciation to your friend.

A big high 5 and a thumbs up on this.. Surely its a talent to say. The lights and body lines are quite an achievement.
