They aren't major mods; any half decent garage should be able to do it for you.

The works were done at Mysore, not Bangalore.

Leaf set is new - OE. Cost me around 7k at the local MGP store.

You bet! Good to see these beauties still being manufactured. Let's see for how long, now that the Army has pulled the plug on it.

While the idea is great, i don't know how practical is it going to be to drive this.
With the Gypsy's not too wide track, small wheel base and such tall dimensions, it is maybe safe to drive this at low speeds on arrow straight roads.

Excellent! No wonder Gypsy sales stood at 900+ in Aug Looks like civilians have taken a liking to this legend after Army decided to do away with it and therefore, it is not likely to go out of production anytime soon.

Should not be a major issue if the overhead works are of Aluminium construction and mostly empty and used for sleeping during vehicle stalled.

However light weight construction would require additional care during high winds and while passing near heavy trucks as Wind force can be a serious issue.

Re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

This Tall flat sided vehicle will be difficult to manage in cross winds. A blast can topple the narrow track vehicle.

Re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

Has anyone noticed this? Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a road show in Ahmedabad this week. The vehicle they used for the same was a unpretentious Maruti Suzuki Gypsy.

Any thoughts on this? One being it is a highly revered product of legendary and highly successful Indo-Japanese joint venture in auto industry.

Sir,

Wanted your opinion on the Monroe Gas Shock Absorbers. There are 2 types of Front Gas Shock Absorbers available from Monroe, one is with Spring & the other without it. I guess you have installed the one With Spring.

So far how is the performance of the Shock Absorbers, are they any good compared to normal shock absorbers ? Also how much is the corresponding increase in Ride Height when you install them.

Have you changed all 4 Shocks to Gas Socks or just the Front 2 to Gas & other 2 to OE Shocks ?

Thanks In Advance.
