Light throw is good with the OE 55W bulbs , But changing to HELLA 100W bulbs will be much much better.

re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

@karizma9292: love the color buddy; it does give a monstrous look. Have you tested its offroading capabilities yet?

Can you share details on the tyres, suspension, improved articulation etc - what all have you done and cost estimates please? I am thinking of converting my gypsy into an offroader as well, but i hear varied ways of going about it and especially varied prices.

Again, an Awesome job!

Cheers

re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

Can anyone help with address, where I can find Free wheel Hubs in Hyderabad. I picked up LAMDA Hubs from Mahindra spares dealer and they don't fit on Gypsy.

Thanks,
Vamsi.

Hi, Shubhendra Singh

I do want to dispose them, they are not of any use for me. They don't fit on Gypsy. I picked them up for 4300 a week back from a Mahindra spares dealer. I am not sure how much should I dispose them off for. Pleas let me know your interest.

Regards,
Vamsi.

re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

@ Mexx - Your Gypsy looks awesome ! I love the cabin that you have and I plan to do the same with mine.
Btw, wanted to ask the experts here if its easier to drive a Gypsy when compared to other 4x4 or is it almost the same ? My Gypsy is the old carb model, 89 model and I still love the way it drives me. And its really easy to drive, just like a car. Are the cj3b's and 540's etc as smooth as the Gypsy ? Apart from Gypsy, I do not really have much idea about the other jeeps so do excuse for this naive query.
Thanks !

re: Maruti Gypsy Pictures

The only differences i have noticed is that a Jeeps Steering has too much play as compared to a gypsy and gets a bit difficult and Gypsy being a petrol will have a better pickup. Ride quality i have heard is that Jeep is much better than the Gypsy.

The custom hard top looks very good. Can you share the cost and the fabricator's details. Do you have the basic dwgs with sizes for the hard top. I assume that you can fit a small rear bench in the space behind front seats. Good job buddy

My gypsy had a 3/4soft top earlier and I just wanted to have a lockable cabin.
To be clear , the cabin ends right in the middle of the rear wheel arch.
You can install a small bench seat( for children) if required.
I have a removable lid , which can be put in place as required to form a closed, lockable boot.
