Doctor if there is a sentimental reason to this restoration query then why don't you restore it the way it was? 2WD. Go to a local garage or ask someone on this list who is nearby in Kerala who can guide you to one.
Use it once in a way. I'm sure it will work well once done up.

Hooah!!! At the first glance, it looked like a generator . The second picture bought me to the senses. Is it the old Nissan (exactly don't remember the name {1Ton} engine?

Twinn, both are Simpson 4 cylinder engines. 2nd pic resembles a NISSAN engine but isn't.

@drmessaiah,
If the jeep is going to be used by the hospital staff occassionaly, why do you require Four Wheel drive? For all the moolah you can spare,keep it in 2WD mode only.
