Xtreme Power does a Scorpio Powered MM550

With the great escape's just around the corner, we decided to built ourselves a new 550, rather stock looking from out. But loads of goodies all hidden.
Heres the expected list of mods:
* Stock 550 body
* 2.6L scorpio engine
* AC
* power steering
* alloys and 31" mudterrain tyres
* Composite leaf springs in the rear(they come in hard n soft versions)
* Shackle lift
* Winch
* Snorkel
* Roo lites
* Floating Seats
* high lift Jack and Bridging ladders as Accesories
* Rock Sliders
* Steering Guard
* Tank Guard
* Rear Diff locks
* Paint Job

i have picked up a 2.6 scorpio engine with a 2wd gear box quite a while ago and now need to mate it to get a 4x4 or buy a complete 4x4 gearbox, need help for this
anyone knowing of a gearbox for sale please pm me

Allan, all the best for your new project. Don't worry about the gearbox, all you need to source is a T-18 transfer case, which is a direct bolt on NGT530/520 gearbox which you have now. Refer this thread for more details http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/4x4-te...ect-shift.html

Sabareesh, even 2WD gear box will do, He may have to reduce the length of shaft which goes in the T-18.

Thanks

On a serious note, cant wait to see the completed product. Do you have good mechs in mumbai when it comes to these things? Ive heard a lot from only up north so far...

Allan, what are floating seats, one with springs like in a chopper?

Doesnt the 2.6L Scorpio engine come with an inbuilt ECM.?

Are you going to use an ECM.

The big list above indicates arrival of a big time off-roading machine soon.

Best of luck with your project, But without pics this thread is useless.
