Re: Finally I have my JONGA

Simply stunning looks. You have not just restored the Jonga, you have actually given it a rebirth. it looks fresh out of the factory.

Nice color. Look at those tyres. WOW!

Thanks Gaurav. The Cooper tyres indeed look quite appropriate for the Jonga.

Thanks Bigman. I don't know about Punjab, but I was able to locate some parts in Chandigarh. I also sourced parts from Delhi. Some parts were also imported from Australia e.g., Noryl bushes, certain seals and bearings.

Re: Finally I have my JONGA

I'm still drooling over the final outcome. Congratulations on the amazing restoration. If it is not such a big concern then can you share some details such as how much did the whole project cost (donor car + restoration)?

Note from Mod: There are several spelling & grammatical errors in your posts. This negatively affects the board experience for other readers.

Kindly ensure that you proof-read your posts prior to submission. Also, it would be a good idea to use spell-checkers.

Re: Finally I have my JONGA

I am big fan of the jonga, even though i regularly bash my swb y60 in the sand.12k for the coopers is just too expensive that too for the small size 245. I have coopers 285/75/r16 got all 4 of them in used condition for around 17k (converted to rupees), yeah its in dxb. its a whole lot different here. just shocked at the price !!.Its too noisy on the road .
Beautiful build there !! just gasped at the first pic. please share details of the project cost.

Finally after a very long time, I have been able to bring the Jonga to a point where I can share the pictures with you.

After completely overhauling and refurbishing the Jonga, I sold it to its new owner Mr. Sahib Singh Cheema. Mr. Cheema himself is a great enthusiast and wanted to retain the original specs of the Nissan Patrol G60 aka Jonga. This one is called Sarbloh P40. The decals are yet to be installed.

I hope you like the way the vehicle has shaped up. Some of the changes that I have made to the Jonga are:

a) Installed a Carter Double Barrel Carburetor in place of the Solex Single Barrel;
b) Installed Brake Booster with twin circuit master cylinder;
c) Replaced the suspension bushes with Noryl bushes;
d) Modified the rear seats to fold back like those in Innova;
e) The paint has matt finish
f) Fabricated new electrical harness;
g) The tyres are Cooper Discoverer STT 235/85/16;
h) Fabricated a full body internal roll bar;
i) New footrest;

And quite a few other modifications. The front bull bar will undergo some modifications.

Hope you guys like it. I will post some pictures of the engine separately.

Regards

Jaskirat Singh Nagra
Jaskirat, nice job.

How do you rate the performance with the new carb?

Very clean looking Jonga with functional mods.
Seat upholstery is shoddy.
Front bumper finishing needs a little final touch .
Nice paint job.
Can you write a review on the veihicle .
