Shubz,
Will a brand new fuel pump from here do, if I can find it?

Re: I found The Hulk - WILLYS CJ3B

I guess even god heard my plea's! Dear Fazal sir has found one piece (without the top glass), brand new and after talking to him Gopal calls me saying he has got the glass domed one and he will come back and take a look at it and get that hooked on to the Hulk! Right now he is OOO! He has even sourced a pump repair kit from the same guy that helped Jaggu get the PS for his DwArF.

Gopal's first question: How is your child behaving? (I was surprised for a bit as I was wondering why is he asking about my son) I later realized he was asking about the Hulk!

A big thanks to Fazal sir, I received the grease cups and knobs in immaculate condition!

Re: I found The Hulk - WILLYS CJ3B

Now I don't know what happened. AC pump seems to be working by itself. Here is what I have found

Initially I need the EFP to kick the engine to life. I need to run a few kms with the EFP on, else the engine dies.

After the engine has heated up sufficiently, the Vacuum pump works like its new. I am attaching a video of its working in idle mode. just a 30 second video though.

Experts may advise.. The bubbles (fuel being pumped) is so constant. May be it needs a kick on its back to come to life? (quote/unquote - Jaggu)

Thanks.

Re: I found The Hulk - WILLYS CJ3B

Have you removed the additional filter? Try without that additional filter and see how it holds. Put the bigger purolator at the tank end instead of that small filter.

Nope I have not made any changes. Are you saying, I put the bigger purolator in place of the small white filter? and none after the EFP?

And "try without the additional filter" is only to reduce resistance to flow? or any other reason?

Re: I found The Hulk - WILLYS CJ3B

Yes only one filter is required, and a good one at the entry point is more than enough. Yes it will help reduce the load on the system. Second thing, try disconnecting the EFP, remember i had issues with this kind of EFP, though they looked better compared to what DwArF had, was faulty that it chocked the system up. My case it was even worse since even the EFP used to conk out after sometime, when it was heated.

Jaggu,
A single puralator filter is all you need, get an original Maruti van filter.

Shubz,
The gods are smiling on you I guess, this one started working with another one brand new in hand.
Just one filter will do, all that is required, we don't have cars running on two filters? The free flow is obstructed by adding another.
One filter between the fuel tank and the EFP.

Use a UCAL EFP, it will not die out on you.

As advised by BD Sir, tried by many and me.

Re: I found The Hulk - WILLYS CJ3B

Okay if someone in Bangalore is getting one, I could get one too I know Jaggu won't be interested in it though.

BTW - Any particular model to be asked for? Or just mentioned the use of it and if in stock, they'd sell?
