Have you managed to resolve the problem of the craters after the Powder coating on the snorkel head?

Dear Salil,
Sorry, for late reply. I was planning to meet you on Saturday evening but unfortunately it does not happend. I was too busy with my home repairing work which I told you about and one has to do it only in summer.
Yesterday I have finished that work and switched to the Jeep work which I want to finish before the rains.
Next week I am coming to Pune I will definitely call you.

Cheers!

Re: Ex Army MM 550 - "It's tough, but not impossible"

Hi Team,

A bit off topic but, I would really appreciate if some one could send me the hard/soft copy of the parts and service manual for the below mentioned vehicles

MM550 DP, CL340 DP and Royal Enfield Thunderbird (AVL). I am planning for a complete restoration of 2 of the jeeps and would like to go by the basics.

@ Tejas - Is it true you sold your Classic ?

Work is going on at it's own pace. The vehicle will be ready to participate in the EXAMM! 2011 event but it may not be the finished product. The mechanicals et al will be ready. The paint and "garnishings" may have to be done after monsoons. Trying to get it all done before that though.

Re: Ex Army MM 550 - "It's tough, but not impossible"

After a nice long vacation, ( Pune, Kolhapur, Vengurla, Malwan, Sindhudurga, Vijaydurga, Raigadh, Nagpur, Chandrapur and Pench National Park )
back to my regular work and Jeep project.

First of all I visited my fabricator's workshop, and requested him for the remaining work of Roll cage and Rock slider, but he refused because there were no workers.
I am waiting from last 2-3 months to get this work done but every now and then I am facing some obstacles, there fore I am very upset now.

Last month I got this replacement of new snorkel head, Thanks to Vijay.
