Ex Army MM 550 - "It's tough, but not impossible"

Hi All,
My last six months efforts came out fruitful as I finally brought my dream 4x4 Jeep (Army MM 550 XD) at home on this auspicious day of " Vijaya Dashmi", with MH 04 Registration.

So this Dasshera proved to be very special for me!

The process of owning this vehicle actually started by myself with the registration with MSTC and finally I done it after a long tedious process, which I will share with all of you in coming days.

Thanks!

Regards
Sanjay

Waiting for more pics. May be your should start with the first pic of your 550 on the day you picked it up.

4X4Army,

Congratulations and Welcome!

What a way to celebrate Dussera, this is one you will never forget.

I didn't know, why the insect mesh had the two small square fittings until now.

Sanjay,
I was joking about the square fittings, as your smaller garland fits so well there.
Don't try to remove it as that is riveted to the clamps that holds your mesh to the front grille.

Thank you Harjeev!
You are the only one person who motivated me to buy Ex Army MM 550.
Because previously I was thinking of buying Cj3b or classic. But when I gone through your thread of Ex Army 550xd and had a look of original military Jeep along with all its mechanical details, I decided firmly to own an Army MM550 only.
I liked your pic in military outfit with 550 and I kept it in my Jeep's album.
Also I learnt many good things about you from my T Bhpian friends but couldn't reply as I was not having TB membership.

Last month when I came to know about your adventurous journey with TLC from B'lore to Punjab, all alone in pouring rains, I was thrilled and I salute you for this daredevil deed.
I will definitely share all pic and experience from the day one.

Cheers!!

Sanjay

congratulations

Congratulations Sanjay.
As someone who has been involved with your dream of owning an ex army vehicle from the very beginning, it gives me an immense pleasure of seeing this thread.

@Shibu, Fazal saab & everyone else who is following the "Jeep/Gypsy acquisition from army auction" thread this is the same gentleman whom I mentioned about having acquired an mstc registration.

@sanjay: Please carry on the good work and help many more Team-bhpians realise their ex-army vehicle dreams.

regards,
Dr. A Ghosh
