Paramjee , the MDI is not the Real Thar , the real one is the CRDe & IFS .( ask anyone )

I can see a only duplicate of the real Thar here. MDI has stolen our name ,please give it back ,

Thar MDI is nothing but re-badged, re-produced MM540, 440 whatever it is. I do not know for what purpose everyone jumping on conclusion for congratulation M&M team.

Nothing new man. Open your eyes and see the 99% of similarity. For I, I cannot congratulate for such copy task.

Anuj, I guess you don't know the history of THAR and how it all started in this Forum.

Kindly go through all the THAR threads to know the passion with which Bhpian Behram Dhabhar - GM of M&M, has himself asked for what we off-roaders wish for. He has delivered what exactly we wanted.

Yes, it looks the same as MM540. But it's built according to the price. For 5 lacs you get delicate darlings like i10.

To a certain extent yes. But may be not to completely satisfy you. There is always scope for improvements and even BD has asked for our suggestions to improve the current THAR. So you are best to advice on that. : )

Hi Counsel,

Have you seen the disconnect between, what was suggested and what was delivered even on the Thar MDI.

M&M does not need my suggestions to improve, they are just using this exercise of "wish-list thread" and "how to improve" to create a hype, and make a presence on the internet.

They want to cash in on the Off-Road Phenomenon with minimal input, maximum output.

2 Contradicting posts 'Exactly' and 'To a certain extent yes'.The wish list should have been procured @ storyboard or prototype stage and not when the product is ready for launch ! my 2 cents.

Can you imagine VW or Nissan doing the same from a public forum ?

Product designs travel a long way up the research hierarchy and is not as simple as getting feedback from a forum and implementing it. Dont flame me, as to each his opinion. I would have never noticed the THAR but for these posts and that should have been the intent.

It would have been good if Thar 4x4 has come out with a Mud Terrain tyre like “Gurka” or taller All terrain Tyre.

I hope everyone would agree any 4x4 at least need an AT Tyre and not an HT tyre (which is available in market)
