willys cj3a, restored in Hyderabad

hello, jeepers, i am a new member of Team Bhp. Recently restored a wilys cj3a except for the engine which is from MandM classic. The 4x4 is active and most of the parts are original. I fully agreed with senior jeepers who have been saying that restoring a willys will not only burn a hole in your pocket but also the job has to be taken at the cost of relations especially WIFE.

wow..

Beautiful is not the word for it! Good to see a Jeep topic after days of looking at Gypsy topics!

Great job Adnan. Please post your restoration story along with pics.

Long live the Jeep!

Adding: The experts can advise about the glove compartment and the data plate location. Not sure if that is how it was born with.

Thankz

Hi Adnan, nice to see another neat Hyderabadi jeep adding up this nice forum. Your jeep is orginal and done up simple and clean, nice off roading pictures. Please do let us know this fellas restoration story and before and after pictures.

I completely agree to you my friend restoring a jeep will not only burn a hole in your pocket but will also burn the fingers inside .. he he!! I have burnt mine recently in the name of Cj2A apart from this miss fire from the close ones though it vanished off once they saw the out come (finished product).

Enjoy flying as on road you drive......off road you fly.

@Shubz: Thanx for the appreciation. Subject to correction i dont think so till late 60s or 70s any model of the willys was produced with a glove box. That glove box is an addition as per Indian comforts. Had i been the first owner i would never had touched the dash board, but the dash data plate is supposed to be where the glove box is so i got it fixed on the it.

Even the late 60's models did not come with a glove compartment (again subject to corrections by the experts). Except for that eye sore of a glove compartment, Immaculate Jeep you got there! Congrats!
