Definately its a nice to have offroader in garage, Looks & Performace is really great

It would be great to have factory fitted AC, i would certainly wait for a year or so to see how M&M manages the customization

Yeah i think so, Red, White and Black. Black i will not recommend coz if you take off the road it will be very difficult to cover the scars on a black body, that way white will be the best. Also black really doesn't bring out the character of this vehicle.

In discussions with THAR Gods, I understand that THAR with A/C is in validation stages but no one knows the time frame when it will hit the market. I have been told to take the dealer fitment and in case of any issue, M&M will take care.

Buying the THAR in its present format allows me to make a few additions in the vehicle like

1. Bolero VLX Dash
2. Front Power Windows
3. Central Locking
4. Removable Hard Top with rear windscreen wiper
5. ICE

without having to pay the Excise Duty and 14% registration tax on them.

I'm itching to get my hands on the THAR and not that I don't believe the "Taking Care" part, but am torn on the decision whether to wait for Factory Fitted AC or just go ahead and get it done with dealer.

What do you Guru's suggest?

P.S: I have decided to go with Black with 4X4 Addict's Jeep HT.

For that purpose, Silver would be the safest but that again would not bring out the "character"!

I want the color that would become the commonest. There's no particular reason for choosing the commonest color but if the vehicle does not become a success, then I don't want to end up with a noticeable car.

I have ideas for White. After I've used the vehicle for a while & want to upgrade or something, I can convert into an Ambulance!

You must have seen the entry in that video posted already. DB sir himself drove the red Thar on stage. That was a nice launch. No drama, no delay, no filmi dance & all. Simple but rocking launch.
Must be the MOST AWAITED launch in India!!

Total under 7.5L
And "Miiinnd Ittt" (Rajinikanth style) the Bolero VLX is for 8.04L in Hyderabad now.

The stage where the THAR is parked looks so filmy! They should have prepared the ground just like off-roading rather than keeping few stones around the THAR and paste some sceneries behind the THAR!

Anyways, launch was important, which has finally happened!
