Can you pls post the cost breakdown on body, engine etc work?
Also, are you planning to add some more accessories like A/C?
I don't think A/C and other accessories are required on this vintage beauty. it's good and purposeful............waise bhi i believe A/C may not be required in Jorhat.

Regarding cost have not yet put pen to paper, but I know that its way way beyond my original budget as one thing led to another and eventually I ended up replacing/repairing/rebuilding almost the entire vehicle. (And as if one can "budget" in case of Jeep rebuilds...I learnt it the hard way)

Well, as Shubhendra rightly said A/C would be too much of a modern touch to this oldie. Moreover, I wanted to have the wind in the hair, real top down look, so have not even bothered with the roll bars as well. Only other things those are pending are the Headlight and parking light grills, and grab handles on the body which have already been procured.

Thanks Jaggu. Regarding the soft top, the nylon material in black has been procured, but the "hood mistry" as they are known around here is absconding, so will be done once he is back.

Thanks, MRB. I got it done at Tezpur under a lot of supervision.

Where did you picked it up (If my understanding is correct Should be either Nagaon or Tezpur).

Where are you getting it restored and whats the name of the Mechanic.

For painting you may also try the painters at ByPass. They do it in Heat Chamber resulting in much better quality and finish.

Guess, I was not wrong
