Re: monstAr version 1.3

@ Guru,

as of now nothing is planned for the grill. might just paint it matt black or leave it like this only for now.

Tires will come after SPOA. I will test drive 31" first because i am not to keen on putting 31". I dont want power loss and bumpy ride. If it works fine then 31" or else 235/75/15.

4wd is working fine, got the car serviced but didnt get a chance to drive it. May be by thursday i will do a short run outside my lane because as of now it is as good as offroad trail only. Thanks to BMC.

@ Sungan

Thanks buddy but i know everyone here is jealous of my Hard Top.
Mods are listed on first page.

@ Tejas

arent we planning a reccee?? If we arent going on friday night or saturday morning then i am surely in.
I wont fix that hard top anymore. Nazar lag jaayegi.

Re: monstAr version 1.3

Stick to 235s. The 31" is too heavy and the ride quality is awful. With the 1.3 Mpfi I barely cracked 90 kph on a downhill slope. With the 235 I can drive at 100 - 110 and it also revs faster for OTR purposes where sometimes the run-up is short.

God bless America with the BMC. Let us take them international

Re: monstAr version 1.3

Finally I drove my Monstar on saturday night after almost 2 months.

I love the way she moves

Learnt and ovserved few things after my frist drive.

1) I hate FFE now. it was so much fun to drive a quiet gypsy. so may be she isnt gettting an end can, may be just headers with stock silen end can.

2) After driving a 1ltr gypsy for alomst 4 years it was fun to have that littile more juice under the hood. Engine respone was good. I could do 110 without any efforts.

3) Off the road with those bald tires i managed to do every obstacles without any efforts. She even crossed a slush pit where other vehicles with MTs got stuck.

4) Dont have to stress the vehilce on inclines.

whats next??

1) Soft Top - Confused !! should i go for only front cabin or full top??
2) Brake Booster
3) Ac servicing

Re: monstAr version 1.3

Devang bhai, she was great through the obstacles and did them with ease. You did seem a bit unsure but now everything has been put to rest by Monstar. Bald or not i am going through was the Moto. Now just cant wait for her in the new form, SPOA and tyres. I was just thinking wont 235 be small for the Gypsy, dont go 31 but a little wider? The Main question. What cloths is Monstar going to wear, Yellow again or now P with PD"s..... (could not resist)

Re: monstAr version 1.3

@Abhi

I think 235/75/15 should be good enough but before that i would like to try 31's atleast once. 235/75/15 on SPOA looks little funny but performs really well.

She is not getting yellow and not PD's too. I leave that design for Allan and Devansh.

BTW i keep forgetting that its a 5 speed.

I think the previous Monstar had the 235's. They look very small on the car bhai.

HAHA, yes Devansh's car will get a spot to keep the evil eyes away.

The more you drive her, the more you'll get used to putting her in the 5th. Put a sticker on the speedo say " i have a fifth gear"

Re: monstAr version 1.3

@Abhi - I don't believe Monstar V1.0/1/2 ever had 235-75-R15 tires. AFAIK Devang was running HT tires.

Guru,

I had 235/75/15 MTs since EXAMM on my SPOA Monstar.
