What does your better half think of your 4x4?

When we were planning to buy a car, my Gf and me went for some test drives and I just hopped in a Safari. While I loved the vehicle this was her reaction.
"Holy crap! Who drives such things? I don't even see anything in front and this is not even romantic". Wonder what her reaction would be if it were a Jeep with no AC

hey, i seem to be a lucky one here. my wife not only loves offroading, she supports it and joins in as well. now we are booking a Thar MDI, though she would love to get me to buy a Gypsy king, so that she too can drive it around.

My wife hates my GPW, we had lots of fights when i bought one.

But off-late,she has started liking my Trooper.

Thankfully, i belong to the luckier side and my wife is as passionate about our petrol Jeep as me. From the time the jeep was getting built, she accompanied me to the garages almost all the time even in Delhi summer to have a glimpse on the latest developments. She also loves to travel in the jeep more than in any other vehicle and is probably the only woman to travel to Ladakh in a JEEP.

Voted NO. Women have always hated my Jeep (with few exceptions). They hate the noise it makes, the harsh ride quality, the heat they feel on their feet (from the tranny area) and the rust.

And the PYT who was with me when my Jeep was out-dragged by a Tata Spacio, well...talk about being embarrassed

my wife is in love with the 3b , she takes it to office at times.

she doesnt accompany me to otr very often as she regards it as my boys time out, but supports all such things optimally

infact she has been pestering me to take the 3b for the desert strom.
perhaps as the 3b is a gentle jeep unlike the diesel sibs , maybe thats a contributory factor.

That was a great laugh i've had in a while!

My wife used to hate JEEPs but thanks to OTR travelogues and reports on Team-BHP, she loves JEEPs now. She has accompanied me on Great Escapes and now she is more worried about the Gearbox and T-Case rebuild than me. My JEEP tyres are due for a change and she has taken the responsibility to hunt for good A/T tyres and alloys for the JEEP.

My 1.5 yrs son is an absolute petrolhead. He loves JEEPs and never misses an opportunity to sit on the driver's seat. Here is a pic.

Hello Sudarshan sir, and here I am after a lots of attempts to jump on Team BHP ship. Photo looks very nice.

Here is my opinion,

My wife did not like any vehicle however she like whatever I like, she like to be with me anywhere I go. Many time I felt bad because my decisions are very impulsive and my wife suffers from that e.g. I bought a Royal Enfield in 2009, the decision was very fast and after driving it for sometime I have started losing interest in it because of some technical issues however my wife have gained a lot of interest after our Goa trip on it also the bike was gifted by her.

Now I am interested in Thar and need to scarifies on RE 350 for money however I will spend some time for this decision, might be this is another impulsive decision.
