Superb Jeep, rather car. Well it drives like a car, well worth the efforts Frank has put in.

Awesome one Franky. Is it in Bangalore now and are you bringing this to Mahabs? And how is your other jeep restoration coming up.

Do not know much on Jeeps but that color does look different and nice. And nice rear view mirrors too. Me like it.

Hey Frankenstein,

Great looking CJ3!

Can you give more information about that hand adjustable spot light in one of the pictures? Where is that available?

Cheers,
Adi

Re: My CJ3B, the rocket

Thank you Jaggu , we will also get your 3b to drive like that.

Suresh it is in Bengaluru now.Well Mahabs i might get one of my car since i am not sure of the weather there. Restoration will start by april when i am back in Hyderabad

Thanks download , actually if you would have noticed there is only one side view mirror on the drivers side.

Mjothi and AVR thanks and that shikar light < its called so >. is from some old vintage car. They are difficult to find .

It has a 220watts sealed beam in it. A single light is more poweful than both the lightforce combined together.

Re: My CJ3B, the rocket

Great looking CJ!! And they are sporting LF lamps. Must have cost you a bomb and how have you secured them from being stolen?

EDIT: The adjustable search lamp - Is that legal? Once I was in a safari at Masinagudi and there were some folks using a search lamp and cops (forest guards/rangers etc) all came down upon them heavily and even yanked off the light.

Re: My CJ3B, the rocket

Dear S : thx for your timely help...!!! You s..a..v..ee....... ...

PS, the jeep is a killer. Good you got the Rims painted off-white. The earlier was cheesy. Plz get rid of the amby's HORN inside the grill, they take away a lot of killer-looks of the 51" and the JEEP grill and LF combination.

What specs are the Lightforce's?

---------^^--------
Ritesh, they look like 700*16 to me. What do you think?

Re: My CJ3B, the rocket

Hi Frank. love the colour of the Jeep. Only goes to show that a Jeep will look good in any colour. I prefer the off white rims to the body colour ones. Presently which is it now. I would suggest you loose the sad steering wheel which is apparently from a Old Matador or Badal. This is not original. Get an original Mahindra 3 Spoke steering wheel from somewhere. I sure a lot of your Jeeping friends will be able to steer you into that direction. Simply love the search light attached to the windscreen.

Wishing you a lot of fin experiences with the CJ. Mine is still surprising me after almost two years of owning and driving ti thoroughly.

They look like 6.00/16s to me. 7.00/16s are 31inch tyres and 7.50/16s are even taller....They dont look more than 29inches to my eyes.

Re: My CJ3B, the rocket

Thankypu Shubz. Lightforce cost around 20k +/- 2k. I have just fitted them to the clamp with bolt and nuts provided with the lights. I hardly use the jeep except for offorad.

Wolf in the last 3 pics it is 7.50 16 NDMS.

@Santosh, anytime man . That is a roots megasonic horn. The problem with petrol jeep is , people dont get to know your approaching because of the silent petrol mill , so need a loud horn.

Lightforce are the basic 240blitz <240mm dia>.

@V16, Jeep actually looks good in any colour , just that people want to be wannabe army tuff guys and make them look bad with a bad job

Presently its off white with black bumpers. I have a shellar steering wheel of the willys cj3b with me but that is not the right fit. Will pick a mahindra one next time.

The cj3b is a surprise itself every time, does stuff the non flamboyant way.

@Wolf, these are 7.50 16 12 ply speedway tires about 30" tall.

Re: My CJ3B, the rocket

Hey buddy, i didnt mean dont have loud horns, I meant to say move them into the engine bay area - will have a clean look from front. Try the skoda's pom-pom, since you have one you will agree it sounds sweet
