clean this rusty thing with wire brush or no. 80 paper , ( grit disc no 36 or a rough one on angle grinder will also do ) & then use two coats of ICI red oxide over that .

I will post few pics of the Angle grinder attachment ( as above) soon , in tools thread
raju bhai,
every time you do a suspension overhaul they use gas cutter to remove old spring bush bush.
its a standard procedure here.
i will have to make a custom puller for it.

congrats Champion!
the ARMADA came with Peugeot XDP 4.90 engine till 1999~2000. (2112cc ,62 bhp)
after that it was DX3 engine. (2498cc, 72.5 bhp)
i also have the DXP 4.90 engine.
see this armada for interior ideas.

Non-NGCS versions came with 9 leaves at the front (031699) and 10 leaves at the rear (073420).
If you could provide me the shock absorber of Bolero I would be in a better position to comment whether the shock absorber rates are on the lower or higher side.
Also, please check the shackle mountings for their inclination/misalignment this may also affect the handling. Hope this solves the mystery.
the numbers in bold are part numbers, right?

here is some info on shocks, thanks to Jaggu.

Re: Jeepster's Armada

I may have missed it somewhere, but what triggered the need for a Overhaul? Was it consuming oil, low pressure or high temp?

i have not used the armada to notice high oil consumption, high temperature.

but the oil in radiator did the thing.

Re: Jeepster's Armada

yes i am trying to keep accounts of every penny spent on jeep.

prices, part numbers, alternate companies making same parts, their websites , etc.

now i am trying to find wheel rims for jeep with bead locks for 7.50x16 ndms tyres. (even 9x16 )

but the ones i saw (today) are around 22~23 KG each.

rgds,
Nikhil

Seeing your build up progressing, even I am tempted to buy an Armada.

How are you planning on 2WD to 4WD conversion?

Simple , there is a lever to shift .

OK Jokes apart ,

@ Salil he has bought a 4x4 Armada with a BW transfer case . Only thing missing is front live axles & prop shaft. ( The diff is in place I guess )

@ Nikhil , send me that radiator details ( or a same piece ) , looks good & I badly need one , Keep the bonnet locked .

Carry on Best of luck

@ salil: as raju bhai said its 4x4 armada without front prop shaft & front axle shafts.

@ raju bhai: there is no 4x4 shifter either.

the radiator is stock one.
just opened the top part & flushed it with acid & cleaned the core pipes.
dont have the pictures of the this process.

BTW do you need new or repair old one?

Re: Jeepster's Armada

The new fuel level sender unit may be bi-metal. If that is so the reading on the guage will be from full to empty, showing empty when full!
Check and ensure that it is a regular unit.
