Wow ..12 years and I have been part of this community for close to 6 years!
TeamBHP has become a important part of the life in these 6 years.

Whole bunch of memories from these 6 years. I doubt a few lines and just 30 pics in one post can do justice, but let me try anyways.

I remember a friend forwarding a link to a funny review of Tata Xenon on TeamBHP and that's how I got introduced to the forum. Getting hooked happened naturally in about a week or so. The quality of conversations and information shared was distinctly higher than generic internet stuff. The thought of me joining the elite group and possibly contributing something worthwhile never really occurred to me for next 2-3 years. In the mean time, I ogled at all Tata Safari pics and was dreaming about owning one soon when TSK's detailed ownership report pricked and burst the bubble.

Don't even recall why I decided to apply for membership. I guess I just felt I belong here. Got in on first attempt!

I remember pouring my heart out in the Introduction thread and they eagerly waiting for acknowledgements on the thread.

I remember struggling to join the conversation on most of the active threads and the feeling of being ignored when I said something on some thread. Sometimes I wondered if this was sort of a private club where most people know most others and outsiders like me are not welcome. Slowly I realized that its what you post and what you contribute that matters most than how many people you know on the forum. Learnt to share unique perspectives and personal experiences rather than "I agree" or something similarly generic. It was still a bunch of "online" guys .. a bunch of "handles'" with some characteristics. So a distance was always maintained.

And then it happened. First meet! Real faces behind the handles!

I remember being shocked by the sheer speed with which everybody disappeared when someone said "Let's roll!". Should I also join this 'rash' driving? Of course there were a few nutcases, but it was amazing to realize that most guys had fantastic control.

I remember some crazy technical discussions over breakfast at Parsi Da Dhaba.


I also remember a complete stranger TeamBHPian who was gracious enough to allow my kido to pose with his prized possession.


Later that day, I remember meeting the legend HVK for the first time. He has been extremely helpful everytime I approached him for some query or the other.


I remember one of the first breakfast meet I attended and the scene at Hiranandani signal with seven TeamBHP cars one after another.


I remember how the guys-meet became family-meets over time.


I remember we starting Powai mini-meets.


I remember K3 becoming a regular adda for jalebis, samosas and what not!


...with the school-lane packed with stickered cars every alternate Friday


I remember witnessing burning rubber at a drift show.


I remember good breakfast at Candies before heading for Autocar Performance Show


I remember going to the APS with TBHPian friends...


.. and load-testing the Nano


I remember getting access to a enclosure with a friend dropping a name of a TeamBHPian.



I remember the mega meet and amazing fun that we had at the Pawna lake.





I remember riding shotgun with Karan in his 328i and he offering "SDP, do you want to drive?". I mean, wow!


I remember the smile on my son's face when he experienced sports-mode in Karan's car.


I remember the TeamBHPian friend who got me so close to those dream machines at the Super car show.




I remember "Zombie drive" (and the struggle to explain the concept to my wife).


I remember Powai-meets becoming regular and a Mod dropping in once in a while




I remember the trek to Naneghat with teamBHPians.


Yes .. we climbed that pinnacle.


I also remember another trek to Karnala where sadly we lost a beautiful car during the return journey.


I remember the group photo of Kanheri caves ride being photobombed by a half-naked guy in the background.


I remember bicycle ride to CST and then hogging like a pig at a Iranian joint.


I remember the meets evolving into meet+dinner and having a time of my life during those dinner meets.


And yes, I remember the EPIC drive to Kaas.




Finally, its been amazing 6 years for me on this forum and I wish TeamBHP family grows and becomes more close-knit over years to come!

TeamBHP, thanks a lot for all the wonderful memories over the years!

Congratulations to the founders, moderators and all the contributors who make this wonderful online community of Team-BHP. I know from past experience of moderating a forum that it takes lot of hard work, dedication, patience, forthrightness and above all a lot of time away from family and loved ones.

I know the moderators would be putting in lot of their personal time to maintain the sanctity and quality of the forum. Hence I would also like to thank the family members of all mods for sharing their beloved person with this vibrant community.

I had become a member long time back. However addiction to couple of online forums was becoming too much to handle and hence I had pulled myself out of all forums for a long time. When the time came to buy a new car, I knew where to turn to. Now I do check the site at least once. I try to restrict my time on the forum though.

I am learning new things everyday from this forum. There is lot more to learn. I know I can trust the folks here for unbiased advice.

I have become a better & safer driver due to this admirable fraternity.

As a newbie there was a lot of very useful stuff and tips to learn.

I personally don't rely on Team-Bhp just for my automotive interests, but many others including Travel, Gadgets, Online purchases, Purchase Decisions, Books & even Mattress Shopping

Incidentally, i was celebrating my 12th wedding anniversary on 11-feb, and got to realize the significance of number.12 !. (example - the clock cycle).
Completion of this cycle, energize more and make it ready for the next cycle - a fresh beginning.

Bet & Wish - our Team BHP will reach new heights in this new beginning.

Inspiration is self-drawn here and motivation is the Hemoglobin(HB) of this community. More than the knowledge share, the social impact, this group is inducing to the motoring community is commendable. Let us continue to spread the MILES & SMILES, around !.

Thanks for creating TeamBHP, its like my wikipedia for all automobile related queries or thirst for knowledge. I was a noob before I stumbled on team bhp, I am very happy about it. Ever since that day I make sure once a day I visit teambhp for something or anything. Thank You for giving us Team BHP, it sure has made our lives much better and happier when its comes to the Auto World, information, knowledge and what not. It is helping me realise my passion for Cars and everything related to them. Very inspiring and feel proud about this All Indian Forum. Keep it going, All the Very best !!
