Same here. I like it piping hot and hence needs to be oven safe! Great looking mugs there.

The ones that scratch off and fade are usually printed using the sublimation technique.

I own multiple black mugs and so far I've had a problem with only two kinds.
Matte black comes out looking grey and I had a Dr Who with the disappearing tardis that went missing because the print got washed right off (in all fairness there were instructions not to put it in the dishwasher )

Ceramic black should be ok, will keep you posted once Ive used it a couple of times.
