Gave the mugs a spin in the microwave this morning.

Filled them 90% full of water.

Set the micro to HIGH & timer to 1:00 minute:

After a minute, the mug was just warm to the touch, but the water inside was steaming hot:

Exactly the same for the black mug too:

Re: REFUEL : Team-BHP Coffee Mugs

Any plans of launching a GT version (red mug with black handle)?

Re: REFUEL : Team-BHP Coffee Mugs

Hi,

Great initiative. Definitely putting my order down for 2 personalized mugs

+1 to that.

This is the only fear that I have. Our dusty Indian conditions can cause edges - especially white ones to pick up dirt quickly. Will need extra care while washing!

Best,

Nope, no GT version planned!

Paging Vid6639, Samurai, GTO, Aditya, Jaggu, Eddy, Tsk1979, etc...

They've been using the mugs for a while and can comment better.

While I do have a mug, I am not a tea or coffee drinker, so it barely gets used.

You can also see the pic Vid6639 has posted on the first page. If I'm not mistaken, the first 2 pics were taken yesterday (after more than a year of use) and the last pic was taken when he got the mug on day 1.

Re: REFUEL : Team-BHP Coffee Mugs

I use mine in office for coffee. Not even washed much with soap. Has held up well.

If you work in desk job and not where your hands get dirty then you don't have to worry. A wash will work just fine and no dirt accumulates in the engraving.

A regular scotch brite and soap cleaning is more than enough.

Re: REFUEL : Team-BHP Coffee Mugs

What a creative way to present the cool mugs. Wifey would want one too

- Are the interiors all black in black mug ? I can see white in red.
- Underbody is same color or white in Red and Black in Black ?

- Refuel - Loved the thought

Yes, black is all-black.

Good question. Underbody is black for black, and red for red. Both have a white circle which makes contact with the table.

If the above was carried out just to test the durability of the mugs then you're correct but if you are using this method to prepare coffee it's wrong.
When the mug looks so good the coffee should smell and taste good too. Read Sam Kapasi's thread on coffee. Loads of info for you to enjoy a cup of coffee.

Re: REFUEL : Team-BHP Coffee Mugs

Awesome initiative...perfect personalised item to sit on the desk..

I had some issue while ordering, as soon as you choose the color and the quantity and hit the 'add to cart' button, the page expires and says-

"This site can’t be reached

The web page at http://store.team-bhp.com/cart.php might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_CONNECTION_ABORTED"

Same problem with IE as well. tried multiple times since morning with no luck.

Re: REFUEL : Team-BHP Coffee Mugs

It may be an unpopular opinion, but aren't these mugs REALLY expensive? Before clicking the link, I was mentally prepared for a price range of Rs. 300 - 400...
