Rightly said. The most memorable person and the reason I was initially hooked to Team BHP was Sam Kapasi. So I would say, the best threads in Team-BHP for me were the Yetiblogs.

Happy 18th, Team-BHP. I wish all the bhpians a very happy birthday of the beloved forum. This forum has has a big contribution in finding my passion, and being who I am today. Let us all keep this forum sacred, and place of awesome and quality content, as it has always been. It is our collective responsibility as bhpians.

One of my favourite thread is this thread on road rage by @ajmat (Road Rage - Understanding, Avoidance and De-escalating Situation). A very in depth and eye opening thread.

Re: Team-BHP @ 18 | Now old enough to get a Driving Licence

Congratulations @GTO, my reasons for coming here are modest.

I come here to avoid reading news and social media. I was a news junkie and team-bhp is my proverbial rehabilitation . It might seem outlandish, but the overall content here is so much more affirmative and positive than anything else out there, at least compared to other Indian content. People talking about their passion and its pursuit is the perfect "tone" to start my workday!

Congratulations on achieving the milestone. Happy 18th to the team

What started as just a read for me years back turned into a daily must read just like newspaper. I've been hooked to Team-bhp ever since I remember. The content has always been top notch.

Cheers to many more to come.

Re: Team-BHP @ 18 | Now old enough to get a Driving Licence

Happy 18th!

I have always found this place to be where I find unadulterated and unbiased information. I trust this place over any other source on the web. ( including the car makers' themselves ).

I love the fact that people treat each other with respect here ( and write clean and meaningful posts in good language. )

I hope it stays the same for generations to come. As the scale grows, it will get harder and harder to keep these in check. Only our commitment can help.

Regards

Re: Team-BHP @ 18 | Now old enough to get a Driving Licence

I love everything about t-bhp.

The thing I love the most is that I am sure I will receive the right information, wisdom and support if and when I find myself in tough situation when it comes to automobiles.

We have Toyota specialists, Ford specialists, VW gurus, Maruti Suzuki experts, so on and so forth.

The thought provoking discussions kindled my mind: EV/Hybrid/Fuel cell discussion, Speed limit discussions, Midsize vs litre class discussions etc.

Nerdy topics like fighter planes, Maritime navigation, Offroad driving...

Re: Team-BHP @ 18 | Now old enough to get a Driving Licence

Having posted my first long thread just 2 days ago and having received so much support for it, it is easy to see why TBHP is so close knit. You feel like you belong when people with 5 times more knowledge and experience than you gladly take you into the fold.

Thanks to the team and mods for the amazing work they do.

My 2 favourite threads so far -

1. Story of the 35 year old Bullet which was stolen and recovered by the son (link)

2. 2021 Force Gurkha which was delivered to Andaman after such a long buying process (link)

Both these threads really illustrate the passion we gave for our vehicles.

Here's to 18 more years!

Happy 18th!
I used to endlessly scroll social media now I scroll tbhp.
Since I am WFH, my home desktop almost always has tbhp open while I work on my work laptop. Works out perfect. Much better than any social media anyway.

Re: Team-BHP @ 18 | Now old enough to get a Driving Licence

When I saw the title - Team BHP @ 18 - I had to do a double take!

You know what they say about how time flies when you’re having a great time!

It’s hard to believe Team BHP is 18 years old and it’s even harder for me to believe that I’ve spent 15 of those 18 years - first lurking around to see what interests me, and then applying with the intention to contribute and share my love and passion.

I must hold Team BHP responsible for turning my passion and interest in automobiles into a strong and seemingly undying obsession that has now reached unhealthy and frankly grotesque levels.

Credits to GTO, Rehaan, Addy and of course Vid6639, Ajmat, Jaggu, Shahnawaz Khan, Benson, Moralfibre and everyone else in the support team for making all of this so worthwhile that even the difficult times seem like a breeze. Thank you Team BHP and wish you a very happy birthday!

Re: Team-BHP @ 18 | Now old enough to get a Driving Licence

Happy birthday Team-BHP. I am unable to choose a particular thread as there are numerous threads which taught me, for example, how to maintain your car in top shape etc. And there are so many eye openers which taught me to handle certain situations while on the road.

Anyways, long live Team-BHP.

Re: Team-BHP @ 18 | Now old enough to get a Driving Licence

Wow, time sure flies fast. It seems like yesterday when I applied for my membership after lurking and reading the posts for some time.

Congratulations to Team-BHP, the team of dedicated mods, and all of us. While I enjoy each and every thread and devour the test drive reports, resto-mod threads, and monthly sales threads with gusto, the section I will pick up as my absolute favorite is the vintage section

I can't put into words how much I enjoy reading about old adverts, the history of some truly unique machines, detailed threads of painstakingly restored beauties, and ogling at the photos of vintage drives and events.

Here is wishing us more power and hoping that we continue to grow strong as ever. May the force be with us.

Re: Team-BHP @ 18 | Now old enough to get a Driving Licence

Congratulations Team-BHP, I was hooked since 2008, and became a part of life.
Enjoyed the the precise analysis & topics by GTO, the travelogue section helped me visit Leh twice, and team-bhp became the go to site for all the topics automotive, gadget, jokes, appliances, solar everything that was connected to our life.

Kudos to the high standards set by the moderators and sheer passion of the readers.

Re: Team-BHP @ 18 | Now old enough to get a Driving Licence

Congratulations to Team-Bhp.

There are too many threads I like, but some of the favorite sections are
- In car entertainment
- Accidents in India
- Ownership review of some are simply superb, even though for most of them I do not own those brand's cars
- and of course the official reviews.
- well at times some travelogues

Really appreciate all the moderators and BHPians to keep this forum's treasure trove replenished for years and making it irreplaceable.

Re: Team-BHP @ 18 | Now old enough to get a Driving Licence

Hearty CONGRATULATIONS!

I had joined Team-Bhp by accident in 2005 and forgot about it. I switched jobs and then found a colleague blogging on Team-Bhp about a recent ride in 2008. That was the day which got me hooked on Team-bhp till today.

Jobs changed but one thing remained a constant - Browsing Team-Bhp everyday. Team-Bhp has been my solace in difficult times in life and i will always be indebted to this forum for it

Its difficult to mention one particular thread, but its the culture and discipline developed/inculcated by mods which stands out the most.
