Hi E_L. While the posts from Introductions / Shifting Gears do not add to the post count of an individual member, they are added to the final tally of the board. So yes, the near 6,00,000 posts do include posts from that section.

Ahead of the million, I think we should give serious thought on a dedicated automotive television channel.
Somehow I feel that there is enough potential for a tv channel and we have enough content matter to fill 12hrs of viewing.

well even i say kudos to the entire forum, for all the good stuff it has, not to forget the team moderators who had a tough job maintaining the forum clean and chik.

This is a truly great landmark acheivment and signifies things far greater than what it seems.

1. It shows that public participation can be great and a true enabler of customer feedback while maintaining good levels of decency.
2. It shows that new media such as the Internet, have surpassed traditional 'sponsored' media in terms of reader / customer participation.
3. It shows that the cost of sponsoring the media is not a barrier in being able to communicate a good product to the audience.
4. It shows that most folks are eager and willing to help a fellow human being even without knowing who he is.

I could go on....but great kudos are due to the managing team at Team-BHP for making this possible.

Revisiting the thread when Dhar(in November 2007) commented out about starting a TV channel. Man if thats happening, i would not mind giving up the present job and join the same contributing whatever i can.

It took Team-BHP about 45 Months to reach the 5,00,000 post mark and secure a place in the International Big Boards registry.

As per the current activity levels, it will take us only another 6 months to touch the 1 Million post mark. Thats barely 18 months from 5,00,000 to 1,000,000 posts!!
