Boggles the mind when you think of it. Over 12,000 petrol-heads were online, at the same time, on Team-BHP this Monday. And while on the topic, here's another record : In the last month, 12,12879 unique visitors (that's over 12 lakh) made their way to read some topic or the other on our community.

To all those of you who have contributed to the Forum, a heartfelt Thank You!. It's you who has made Team-BHP the definitive resource on the Indian Car Scene. The most unbiased, as well as the most comprehensive....we must be doing something right

Sid! Thank you for beating me to the birthday announcement by 4 hours . The celebrations just don't seem to stop, do they? After all, we've only recently celebrated 12,234 users online.

In the progression from a small community in one corner of the internet, to India's largest, I am especially proud of the fact that our core values & belief systems haven't changed. We're still a bunch of car-crazy petrolheads who strive to maintain the unbiased, all-encompassing nature of our cherished community. If anything, with our growth, our quality has only improved. Kudos & congratulations to all contributors.

A very Happy 7th Birthday to Team-BHP. This year has some very exciting developments in the pipeline; wait & watch.

• Take your own sweet time to format your thread, add text content, multiple attachments and back-to-back posts in a private forum.

• Only you (and the Team-BHP Moderators) can view your W-I-P thread. Compose in full privacy.

• Ability to EDIT your post over an indefinite period of time. Come back to add more attachments / content / posts to your work-in-progress thread after 4 hours, 4 days, 4 weeks or even later.

• Ability to delete your own posts (all, except the opening post). Simply click on the EDIT button and then Delete.

This day in 2004, 10 die-hard car enthusiasts came onboard Team-BHP to start its engine. Yep, Valentines day of '04 saw exactly 10 registrations to our community. The only thing that mattered to us was having a solid platform where we could share information on every aspect of the Indian Car space, and say it like it is. Some things, I guess, will never change.

We BHPians have come a long way in the 8 years since. 14.49 lakh visitors, predominantly from India, came to read what you shared on your Team-BHP in January 2012 alone. And without any active marketing or advertising at all, calendar year 2011 saw 1,42,77,567 visiting our home on the internet. That's 1.42 crore visitors reading what you had to say!

We're here to learn, we're here to share and we love to help; there are 25 lakh posts attesting to this fact. Each & every BHPian who has chipped in with even a single post has played his / her part in building this all-encompassing knowledge base. It's giving back to the Indian Car Scene that we so dearly love.

In an industry that takes orders from advertising rupees, here's to nobility. Team-BHP hasn't and will never run a car advertisement. The Moderator Team commits to things staying that way.
