Where can I get a basic ICE system for i10 in Chandigarh?

Hello Gurus,

I am completely new to car audio systems. I need a basic or above basic setup for my i10 magna. I want to get it ( and seat covers ) installed within this week. Here are the details.

1. Your Car: ___i10 Magna_______

2. Your current setup (If any): ______None_______

3. Your Budget: ______10k - 15K________

4. Do you drive most of the time or is it chauffeur driven? _____Self_______

5. Your Music preferences (Genres, favorite artists, etc.): ____Bollywood, Pop

(Indian/Western ), just normal stuff___

Additional Information:

6. Are you ready to sacrifice your boot space/modify door panels? : _____Boot

space is Important_______

In additional to above the HU should support USB atleast but preferably

Blue tooth, IPod and basic input and Aux-out. I am not inclined to bigger

thumps/bass but like above average thump/bass effects. I have used sony Xplode in my M800 and was almost satisfied ( not sure of model ).

I am interested in proper wiring so no wires on the floors. So what care

should I take when the guy is installing. Any references in and around

Chandigarh would be a great help.

Last but importantly what should be the prices of suggested HU/Speakers and where can I buy them in and around Chandigarh.

Thanks in advance
Navdeep

Not a single reply. But I am still waiting.
If not more, can anyone guide me on few tips about the precautions to be taken when wiring is done for ICE ( or How wiring is done professionally ).

Thanks.

1. Techno gave you links to a few threads on related systems.
2. for 10-15K your best bet is to get a HU for about 6-7K and spend 8-9K on 4 speakers, 2 in the front doors and 2 6x9s on a MDF rear deck.

Listen to a few systems at the dealers or your friends and see what speakers suite your taste. There are many brands available today.

HU: Pio, JVC, Kenwood...
Speakers: JBL, Blaupunkt...

Hi Navin,

Any links on how to properly get the wiring done or precautions to be taken so that existing car wiring is not disturbed.

Thanks.

Thanks.
1. ask the installer to use a harness to connect the HU to the car's electrical system
2. use common sense in routing the speaker wiring

Since you are in Chd you can go to Auto Centre in sec 28-C Mr Ahuja. I have been to his shop recently, he stocks lots of stuff. Tell him my name "Raghhvinder for Faridabad" he sure will help you out.

This is for a friend. His parents bought an i10 Magna with which ICE does not come stock. He wants to gift them ICE for the car.
It seems he was told that the i10 takes in only Kenwood HU and no other HU fits in it. I find this unbelievable, but want to confirm this with the ICE gurus.

Since this thread was also about the Magna and ICE, decided to use this instead of creating a new thread. Thanks.

What a load of crap!!! Our I10 Magna has Sony Xplod HU. And I dont think Hyundai is that dumb to force the buyers of its cars to go for a particular HU.

Thanks Navin, Low_bass_makker and manikjeet for responding to the thread. I assumed I would not be getting any responses on this thread so never really came back to check in. Moreover I have subscribed to the thread but never received alerts. Just received alert a
for a post of supremebaleno and saw some responses here.

Back to topic, I did went to sec 28 to check few head units but none showed me HU discussed on TBHP.
