How is the heat resistance after applying sun film. I am having same in my car and my parents and and bro is insisting on removing it.
Can't comment on 'safe' but say with confidence CR-70 does help a lot in keeping the greenhouse effect low in places like Chennai. It certainly helps to keep the air conditioning effective and probably helps in FE as well. Cheers

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

Yet again, I managed to get my car dirty to the point where I could see more mud than paint on my car, and yet again, It was brought back to factory finish at 3M HSR Layout

Let the pictures tell the before and after story!

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

Visited 3M car care yesterday. Did a Paint Sealant treatment for my car. The complete job took around 3 hours as there were many cars before us. As always, Mr. Siddhu was very kind and cooperative. He told that yesterday itself there were more than 10 cars from T-Bhp members for several job works. Found 3-4 cars around the showroom of T-bhp members. Also met few of them. Pics attached.

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

Got paint sealant treatment on my Tjet on saturday. Very happy with the results. The tricky part is to maintain it.
Bonus : Got to meet a few BHPians. Had a nice time!

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

Wanted to know if 3M does anything to car floor lamination etc ? I am driving Ertiga which is sea of beige inside

I am aware of their floor carpets but just wanted to check if they also have a solution to keep my Beige floor clean !!

Other thought i have is to let the car run as it is and get the interior cleaned every year(Seats and other interiors) Anybody with their personal experience, How good are they with interiors ? and how much do i need to spend ? Considering the amount of beige inside, Its is going to be a dirty work for them.

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

Halo tbhpians,

I must be posting here, I guess for the first time, just been a reader of this wonderful thread.

Right from the day I took delivery of my White Ford Figo I was itching to visit 3M HSR and get stuff done to the car, but could not take time out at all from work. In the end decided to visit 3M Kundanhalli as it was close by, say 3kms from home.

So I set off with my father for 3M one fine day at 10am. Crossed the Kundanhalli Jn. saw the 3M store approaching and sensed a war begin in my head. 3M Kundanhalli Vs 3M HSR. The store was nearing and soon I saw it passing by. I did not stop and continued on. The war was over, 3M HSR had won.

Met Mr. Pradeep at the store and showed him my brand new Figo and told him that I wanted an under-body treatment for sure and something for the paint. He suggested UV protection for the paint and also advised on putting floor mats which had numerous advantages. Made sense, with a 1yr old kid in the car, you cannot imagine what all gets dropped onto the mat. There was no doubting his advice and I handed over the keys to him. The car was to be delivered at 5:30pm the same day.

Bought some sweets from K.C. Das, for those who have not had his sweets, do try. Got some packed for folks at home in Whitefields.

Was back at the 3M store at around 6:00pm, had received a call en-route, telling me the car is ready. Reached the store, saw the car, it actually looked brand new now. The car looked like how it should have been when coming out of the showroom. Superb Job done. My entire family was there and we were really awestruck at how clean and shiny a plain white Figo can look.

Checked the under-body and the fitting of the floor mats, found nothing wrong.

It had started drizzling and by the time, payment was made and when I drove out of the store, it was raining cats and dogs. Got no time to click pictures

I was glad I got the under-body treatment done before the car saw her first downpour. The treatment has managed to reduce vibrations and sound to a measurable extent. Once the engine is warmed up, it runs almost like a petrol. Figo has become that silent. Mind you I am coming from an Esteem, so if there is engine sound, I will hear it.

Kudos to Siddu, Pradeep and his team. Great Job done.

I keep teasing Sidhu - someone should do a Just-for-laughs-Gags type of prank on the public. As soon as this snow-like foam coating is sprayed on the car, someone should take the car out on the public roads for a few minutes. People will suddenly be startled to see a snow-covered car in Bangalore , definitely a funny sight to observe people's reactions.

excellent idea! we can do that next time we meet at 3M. get one car covered and one trailing car to get the reactions. we could run it in circles around the BDA complex

Under body treatment - Does it bring down the noise level inside the cabin?

It does to a certain extent. The noise reduction also depends on the road surface and the type of tyre.
