That's 470 rupees off for voting. Well done 3M for participating in the worlds largest democratic process.

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

After hearing lot of good reviews from Teambhp, went to 3M Car Care today for an Interior Germkleen (Rs.2190) + wash(Rs.390) for my Vento. Sidhu was not there, but met Pradeep and other guys and have a mixed feedback. Eventhough my interaction with Sidhu was very nice over phone, could not feel the same customer centric approach from Pradeep and other guys.

Initially they took the car for wash to the basement. The basement was little bit dark, hence could not see properly, but liked their foam wash. Maybe since Sidhu was not there, eventhough 2-3 boys were working, could see other 5-6 boys playing/watching video on mobiles when they should be doing their work. Could not see any supervision from main guys who are sitting in the A/C area. The overall wash quality was acceptable.

Since I had to return to office, I left the car and said will return by afternoon to collect the car. I returned around 2pm. The work was complete, but could see some dust marks on handrest and dashboard, which when pointed out to Pradeep, initally he said they cannot clean since it will leave scratches. But on persisting, they finally cleaned with their towel. Also the carpet had some stains which were still remaining after the interior cleaning. When I asked about the same, they said carpet cannot be cleaned properly since if they rub it with brush the fur on the carpet will come off.

So even though wash was good, interior cleaning was not upto the mark. I am still left with stains on the carpet and some small dust marks on dash and meter console which I saw after reaching home. Overall, I felt even after paying premium money for interior cleaning, quality of work is not that good.

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

Of late my car has been munching miles at astonishing rate - I completed 62000 km in 25 months, and needless to say, with usage, the car also became dirty inside out. Due to paucity of time I was unable to get the car cleaned and it came to a point where I myself did not feel like getting into the car.

Last friday (18th April) I dropped my car off at 3M car care at HSR layout. The following images will illustrate the sad state the car was in (forgot to take pics of filthy interiors).

The dirt on the floor is from driver side mat.

I opted for paint sealant (2 years up since last treatment, and new bonnet) and interior cleaning. The car has been restored to new, and I am loving it. 60k service was recently done and the car feels brand new inside out, and drives like new one too

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

Hey guys, is the SMS necessary for availing the free AC duct cleaning?
I don't have it now (deleted). I was told by Mr pradeep that you need to "show" the SMS
Hmmm... Sounds weird - he told me to contact the call centre!!!!

Yes. Looks like showing the SMS is a must for company purpose. The offer is only for existing customers.

And it is not free AC duct cleaning as an exclusive offer. The duct cleaning comes free when you avail the Germiclean treatment.

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

Went along with my friend to get his new Swift nomad mats. We reached there Sunday around 11 AM, mats were cut and installed in an hour. Opted for black color mats, total cost Rs. 4700.

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

The summer has been scorching this time in Bangalore. To make travel a little more comfortable in the car, decided to get the 3M RE 70 sun film for the sides. The windshield has a minor crack and few scratches. After I get it replaced will get the CR 70 for the front windshield.

Here's how RE - 70 looks

It was almost 4 months since the car saw a decent detailing session. Got the car detailed as well along with the sun film. Since it was dark when I left from the store, got a chance to take a few pics today morning

The end result

Krishna, the windows look dark. Maybe it's the photos?

I had CR70 put on the front windshield after buying my TJet. I was stopped once by cops, but when they saw my untinted windows, they asked me to go. I asked why they stopped me, and he asked if the windshield was the original, and I said yes. He said it had the maximum tint allowed and the factory had got it right .

I believe I was let off because my windows were not tinted. If they were, I'm pretty sure they would have also checked my front windshield from inside. The inside of the windshield has black pimples from the manufacturing process, and according to Siddhu, the film will not stay in place if put on the black pimples. So they put the film just on the inside edge of the pimples. Downside is that the film's edge is clearly visible from the inside of the car.

I'd love to have my rear windshield and windows tinted, so I'll be closely following your experience with Bangalore Police!

Your car looks awesome as always...

Yes, it does look a bit dark in the pictures. However, its a lot more lighter in real. A couple of reasons why it is looking a bit dark, the first being the rear curtains were put in place cutting off light makes the interior a lot darker than it actually is and the door visors too is making the glass look a bit dark. I am currently driving with the curtains down and till now Police have not bothered to stop me and I hope it remains the same way.

Should I get rid of the door visors to make the cabin a little more airy? An option that I am currently pondering about.

Even I have install CR70 on my car on all four glasses. It was installed more than an year now. Luckily cops could not make out till now.

I have travelled extensively across Karnataka & TN. Also Kerala and AP.

Either I am lucky or so far cops were unable to identify.

CR 70 or whatever version which will pass the naked eye check, after installation,
attach dummy vacuum sticker shades which you get at all road junctions. Once
they are there it gives an impression that your window glasses are not dressed
and hence you have gone for these Well all don't lower glasses half way and
drive. That' sure give away. If you still get stopped, a gentle apology probably
gets you through. I do understand CR 70 is gets pass naked eye check quite well.

Cheers

Re: 3M Car Care (HSR Layout, Bangalore)

Went to 3M HSR last week to give my Polo some much needed TLC. Had some grey Nomad Mats put in. A good interior and exterior clean.

You have to love the attention to detail, using air to dry the mats!

Do they actually object to the rear curtains when you have it wound up?
