Automatic Car Wash - Autoshine Carwash (Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore)

Vidyaranyapura now has fully-automatic car wash. I visited the place when they just installed the equipment and even before the tiles were laid! My 2007 Verna CRDI came out sparkling clean.

I was quite happy with the service!

Charges:
- They charged me Rs. 450 for my Verna.
- I understand that since they have just launched, they are charging 450 for hatch-backs and Sedans and 650 for SUVs.
- They are throwing-in free interiors cleaning with vacuum cleaner!

Location:
This is located behind Sindhu Bar on Nanjappa Road. When approaching Vidyaranyapura from BEL, take the first right turn on Nanjappa Road just near Dwarka Convention Hall. You take the first left and it's the last site close to Vishwas Gowri Espana Apartment.

Called them up to check if they are open today. Turns out, Tuesday is a holiday! Otherwise, they seem to be open 8am to 8pm.

I got my Swift washed there a couple of days ago and I am quite impressed with the job. My car had layers of dust from being parked next to a construction site and they took the trouble of manually hosing it down with a pressurized jet and vacuuming the interiors before taking it to the automatic wash area. The huge brushes did their job and then the car was dried with a blast of air. The final wipe down was done with microfiber cloth as is the norm but since it was mostly dry this did not take long.
Mr Nanda Kishore personally supervises everything and has a keen eye for detail. I did not have the time to get the interiors detailed and will probably get it done the next time I visit.

Is this type of wash still operational? I heard that there is some government restrictions on using water for washing. Maruti service centers have resorted to non water wash and the results are not satisfactory.
