| ![]() Second Nitrogen filling place in Kammanahalli, ORR. Indian Oil Pump opposite to McDonalads. Costs 20 rs per tyre first time. 10 rs per tyre afterwards. Apparently no freebies with fuel. |

Distinguished - BHPian ![]() ![]() | ![]() Switched to Nitrogen on both - the Ikon and the Sumo. IOC bunk on RV Road (between South End circle and Lal Bagh west gate). It did make a difference, and I am happy I switched from regular air. And I was one of the sceptics who used to think that since air is already 78% Nitrogen, what difference can another 15% make ? |

| ![]() Had been to a neighborhood bunk for air fill. Since normal air wasn't available, switched to nitrogen. Paid 60 bucks for 5 tyres. Before the fill-up price mentioned was 20 rs per tyre, but ended up with 12 per tyre. |

| ![]() Third Nitrogen filling center in Kammanahalli. On the 80 ft road next to cosmopolitan club. Refill charge 10 rs per tyre. Meanwhile Indian Oil pump has started offering free refill if you fill fuel for 1000 rupees or more. |

| ![]() 1. Jai Hanuman IOCL fuel station, next to Manyata tech park. Rs 10/tyre 2. IOCL fuel station on the right side after kodigehalli signal on BIAL road when you go towards airport (dont remember the name). Rs 10/Tyre 3. Fuel station in kasturba road, which has the McD and Cherry Tyre agencies. 4. HP petrol pump near to kodigehalli signal on the left when you go towards airport. Here it used to be Rs. 5/ tyre, but the pump is closed temporarily now, hope they re-open soon ![]() 5. Viswas , MASS. You don't need to drive inside, the nitro pump is very near to the entrance gate. Rs 10/ tyre 6. MRF tyre dealer next to Viswas, same rate 7. Mobile Tyre tech , Kammanahalli he charged Rs 30/tyre. Everything including tyres are costlier than dealers elsewhere, so I don't prefer much. 8. PitStop kammanahalli, newly opened and hence no idea about the rates. 9. Tyre Empire, near Whitefield. Don't know the current rates 10. IOC pump near to ITC gardenia, free if you fill fuel for Rs 1000/- My experience with nitrogen have been very good so far since i the pressure drop is very minimal and only over a longer period of time. I believe nitro keeps the tyres cooler when driven at high speeds consistently. For small punctures as well the pressure drop will be very slow and gradual. I am using nitrogen from the past 3 years Last edited by shinuak : 7th July 2013 at 17:01. |

| ![]() I've a question. I switched to Nitrogen 3 years back in my Honda City. I used to top-up Nitrogen only once in 6 months since then. Is 6 months too long or is it risky? How frequently are others in the forum topping-up nitrogen? |

Struggled to find a nitrogen filling center near by Sarjapur road. I went to 6 places as below before I was successful: 1) IOC petrol pump before Bellandur central -- facility not working 2) Castrol pit stop in Total mall, Sarjapur road -- Closed 3) Castrol pit stop in HSR opp to NIFT -- Closed (Is Tuesday a holiday for Castrol pit stop or did they go bust?) 4) Shop 'Tyre Plus' in 27th Main, HSR -- Not entertaining mere Nitrogen top ups 5) Tyre empire opp to Sun city on Sarjapur rd - ORR jn -- Was told that they don't have the facility. Not sure if they lied !! 6) Yokohoma tyre center in Sarjapur rd -- Could not find it Spent a couple of liters of petrol searching around and I was getting ready to top up with air. Got to the place ultimately: There is an IOC petrol pump opp to Agara lake. Take the road by the side of it, come straight almost to the end. It is on the left side. Coordinates are: 12.907445, 77.644784 ( You can enter raw co-ordinates in GPS or Google maps and navigate to your destination). Another place where I was told that you can do top up is the HP petrol pump , Opp to JSS college and BDA complex, HSR. I did not go and check personally about this place. Remember under-inflated tyres can lead to bursts at higher speeds ![]() Also, try to visit the same place that's closer to your home or work place, that way you don't have to go around looking for it. Last edited by NPV : 17th December 2013 at 20:37. | |
