Trusted Petrol Pumps in Bangalore

Thanks for the update procrj. Last night was chaos, the Shell petrol bunk on Vittal Mallya road was packed and traffic police had to manage the situation. The Shell bunk on Mysore road was also full. I eventually filled the expensive option at the Shell bunk near the Nayandahalli junction as the line was the shortest.

On my way there I saw most of the HP and IOC bunks closed or they had 'no stock' signs.

This morning too, most bunks were shut and Shell was doing brisk business. Eventually tanked up my bike at Bowring Petrol Station on St Marks road where the crowd was relatively less. I am hoping that things are back to normal by today evening.

I filled up from Shell Bellandur yeserday morning. But I was not aware of the strike though.
Yesterday evening, the BP & HP bunk on sarjapur road was open and both had huge queues. The IOC down the road did not have stock.

Does anyone know if this Shell is open all 24 hours a day (the one opposite Central Mall on ORR service road at Bellandur)?

Yes, I have seen this open 24 hours. The BP bunk on Sarjapur road (after Total) also has a 24 Hours open sign.

I guess there is only one Shell bunk on Hosur road, if so this is the one. Though I was not aware it is open 24 hours. Have not noticed it during early morning drives, do confirm with them once.

Today morning, the Shell bunk at JP Nagar did not have diesel stock. Also their air filling machine is out of order for the last 2 weeks (atleast).

Reliance bunks slowly being re-opened. Saw the one near Peenya on ORR back in action.

Are there any other in BLR city ?

There is one on the Magadi road functioning intermittently. This on the incline after the Bangalore university turn off signal. Have seen small number of vehicles here whenever open.

I tried the new Essar fuel bunk today in Koramangla 1st Block.

I am not sure, but I feel the car is more peppier ever since I filled petrol there.
For the last few months I have regularly been going to Bharat Petroleum at Sarjapur road, opposite the lake, and somehow I feel that the mileage has been very low.

The difference between MID reading and tankful method is about 4 KM/L

Has anyone else also felt the same at Bharat Petroleum?

FYI: I drive a 2012 Swift Petrol

I was filling fuel from the new BP pump in Sarjapura road and realized that i forgot to take my valet and not carrying cash. By that time the attender filled diesel for 170. Informed him to stop. He was kind enough to round it to 180 and informed the manager. Manager allowed me to return and come back. I given my mobile as guarantee. It was around 1:40 PM. He suggested to come back before 2:30 as the shift is getting over by that time. I was back by 2:20 and filled to them brim. Never expected such good behavior like this from a fuel bunk in Bangalore

I was scared initially that he may not allow me to leave and tell to call any friend or relative to bring cash and leave.

Once my brother-in-law went to BIAL to drop off someone, and got into a pump on NH7 on his way back to fill. Full tank (2000+), not enough cash in hand, the pump's card swipe system is down.

They were fine with him leaving to fetch money. No guarantee required. He drove the car out, went some distance to locate an ATM, returned and paid them.
