Re: Tyre Shop : Hercules Tyres (Sheshadripuram, Bangalore)

I bought my latest set of tyres from Hercules about 2 days back. I was on the lookout for Hankook 205/55-R15 and called Saravanan (owner). This was the first time I was talking to him. He had Hankook in the size I wanted.

Went the next day and bought 4 tyres at Rs.5450 each. He bought back 2 sets of tyres I had at very competitive prices. His boys did a good job of replacing the tyres for me. Actually, when I visited his shop to buy the tyres, he wasn't there. But he called me twice to inquire if everything was to my satisfaction while I was there.

Re: Tyre Shop : Hercules Tyres (Sheshadripuram, Bangalore)

Our cars visit Hercules on a regular basis and recently got below work done on our Indigo Manza & as usual our vehicle got a very good service -

1) RIM bend removal
2) All wheels allignment done along with weights added
3) 2 Punctures done

Now the car is running smooth without any problem...

Would recommend these guys to everyone in & around Sheshadripuram, malleshwaram at any given time.

Very Arrogant people! At-least over the phone.
I was in the area and wanted a new set of tyres.
Called up the number to ask for a price was told Rs - 4,300 ! On tell him that this was the MRP - The guy at the other end says MRP is over 4,900

The same Tyres are being sold between Rs- 3600-3900 by all other outlets.

I wouldn't even bother calling these guys.

Update: Just got an email from Gautam of Sai Mag Wheels (delhi) that Hercules Tyres is now the official store for Momo and HRS alloy wheels in Bangalore.

(and he redirected me to contact them).

Yes Hercules Tyres are the authorized sales agents for HRS and MOMO alloys in Bangalore.

I placed an order with Hercules Tyres for the HRS alloys. They procured it from SAI MAG Wheels Pune and fitted it for my car.

You can contact Mr. Saravanan. He is a nice and helpful person.

But the point is you will not get any competitive price for the alloys or the goodies like free wheel balancing for the alloys even though you buy tyres from them. You need to pay for the alloys as per the list price mentioned on the website of SAI MAG wheels and further you will have to pay for the wheel balancing which is extra.

Apart from this, they do a quality job and the staffs are helpful.

Re: Tyre Shop : Hercules Tyres (Sheshadripuram, Bangalore)

My Punto got Momofied yesterday. Got the Yokohama Earth 1 along with the 15 inch black Momo Rims. Dad and I spent the day at Hercules Tyres. Mr. Saravanan although was busy with his family, ensured to drop by and spent sometime with us.

He is a nice and helpful person. Has been in this business from a long time and is quite knowledgeable. Has a good collection of rims and as far as I know is the only authorised dealer of Momo Rims in South India. But I guess his tyre go-down is else where. That was the only downside to our visit as we had to wait for almost 2 hours before the tyres arrived and his crew got down to work.

Prices are quite competitive if one compares the prices online or elsewhere. But he did charge me a nominal amount of 500 bucks for the WB and WA. On the brighter side he gave me a discount of 1000 bucks on the total cost of the rims. I even got the WePro wheel locking nuts with the closed head type along with the Allen keys to open the nuts in case of a tyre change. These came at a cost of Rs. 2700 after the 10% discount. Supposedly they don't rust.

Overall we were happy with the visit to his store.

Re: Tyre Shop : Hercules Tyres (Sheshadripuram, Bangalore)

I had visited their center recently as I have slow speed wobbling issues at the front. One of their mechanics took a short test drive with me and acknowledged the problem. Since the alignment / balancing / tire change was done just 2 months ago (3500 KMs old), I was fairly confident it was not an alignment issue. They checked it and confirmed the obvious, but weren't able to get at the root of the problem.

I also used the opportunity to ask about the momo wheels change and the person in-charge quoted 6K more (for a set of 4) than the listed price. I challenged her that the authorized dealer sai-mag wheels was quoting a far lesser list price when the person started making excuse about GST changes. The moment I started opening the sai-mag website which confirms the updated GST price, she looked up some catalog and mentioned oh yes, you are right. I am sorry I quoted the price for 16 inchers not the 15. Maybe it was a genuine slip up, maybe it wasn't, but over all I came back an unsatisfied customer & I doubt I will return to this place any time soon !
