Looks brilliant webblescott. Excellent fit.

How much is it for the steering wheel alone? And how much time does it take?

The work on motomaverick' & MA5K' wheels also excellent as well. I am very tempted.

Awesome workmanship. but was there any other choice of colour? Black makes the space look all the more cramped.

My leather steering has remained in original condition without any signs of wear since I got it done at karlssons in 2010.

Re: Leather Car upholstery - Karlsson (Bangalore)

Excellent fit and finish. One question on the steering wrap.

How is it finished on the steering grooves (just before the steering controls and the other 2 spokes), is there a gap where the leather is pushed in? Reason is ask you is it doesnt look like its having any rough edges there.

Mine is finished in the same way by stanley but has some rough edges there, which I dont like a lot and hence the question.

Yes there was some other 6-7 shades, but i preferred to go for black because the entire interior of Swift is JET BLACK. So thought of giving a touch of Old S-Class Mercedes look.

Yes, the Leather were pushed in and the work was done in a well manner, i did not find anything wrong on steering part. But i was not that happy with the door side thing. Slightly the gum were popping out.

Re: Leather Car upholstery - Karlsson (Bangalore)

Had been to Karlsson to check the price for steering cover.
They quoted 2500. I wanted to have perforated leather on sides and normal leather on top and bottom of steering wheel. Didnt tried to negotiate. Will get it done after getting my car.
webblescott, You got a good deal i think. Only for seat cover they asked 28K now. Steering cover, doorpads and others are extra.
Did you got everything at 30K after any negotiation?

OT: Saw a sofa made for malayalam actor Sureshgopi at there.
Fantastic one

30k was what i paid, No negotiation done, He knew that i was about to go for Stanley and later when got to know about the technical part on what sort of leather they are using, i stick back to Karlsson. Yeah even he showed me the Suresh Gopi Sofa , and regarding the quote you received for Steering is good enough. Because i have seen someother guys just quoted 4-5k for the steering.

Re: Leather Car upholstery - Karlsson (Bangalore)

Dear Friends,
I got leather seats for my new Polo at Karlsson.
I chose the Scandinavian leather in beige for the seats and black for the doors and steering. You could read about it here http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post2730797
Very professionally run business and it was great to catch up with Sajith.
I would highly recommend this place.
Now, for some pictures:

Your polo is looking real sweet with the leathers, their worksmanship is really good, small jestures like a leather keychain even for a small job like steering & door pads goes a long way in pleasing customers.

Re: Leather Car upholstery - Karlsson (Bangalore)

Hi starter, nice pics and looks luxurious. But the beige doesn't seem to be a perfect match. Or is it?

The armrest on the doors feel a bit hard in the standard form. Can it be made a bit softer by adding cushion? Also, can the beige part of the door pads be wrapped in leather?

Pricing details would be very helpful. If not on forum, request you to kindly PM it to me.
