re: Brochures, manuals and publicity material of vintage cars (foreign) This car advertisement is from the era when Austins and Morrises, hitherto two bitter rivals had similar designs. This was because Morris Motors headed by Sir William Morris (later Lord Nuffield) bought Austin Motor Company in 1952, a decade after the death of Lord Herbert Austin in 1941. It then became a conglomerate viz. British Motor Corporation.
