Hello all. In February this month I got to know that Italy's biggest classic and vintage car show would take place in Milan. Since I am currently studying in Milan I thanked my good fortune and visited the event. I was definitely overwhelmed by the scale and seriousness of the people who attended the event.

Although at first I thought the event was an exhibition I soon realized that it was more than that. So much more.

The event was host to over 500 classic and vintage cars. The reasons were varied. Some were official museum cars for display by companies like Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo. Others were from classic car investors, insurers and restorers. The majority of the cars were meant for the auction which would happen on the last day. The main attraction of the auction was a Ferrari 330 P4 race car from 1967. There were even Rolls Royce cars from 1984 which were up for auction at a starting price of euros 7000 or Rs. 4.9 lakhs. I was really tempted by the offer. But I am only a student. There was even a temporary race course created where the organizers were racing classic Alfa Romeos and Lotus cars.













The more drooling part of the event was this chef in one of the exhibitors spaces. To attract the crowds he was making chocolates by dipping fillings into hot chocolate syrup and giving them away to the women and children who came to the stall. But then he would suddenly take a scale model of a car and dip it into the chocolate syrup and give it away to a small child if the chef felt the child worthy of the gift. The pictures do not do justice to the whole exercise. But I think I will let the images do the talking now.
