Hi Folks,

I travel to Melbourne lately for work and have liked the place but staying in the CBD (Central Business District) has its pros and cons. Access to a variety of cuisines and being close to the office are great. Missing out on the famous Aussie outdoors is probably the worst part.

So what do you do when you are in the City and fond of cars? You go look up, what is probably the best car collection in Australia, the Lindsay Fox Collection!

Its open thrice a week and proceeds go to a charity. Nice place though I feel the lighting of it wasn't conducive to phone cameras as you'll see later when you curse me for the bad pics

The museum can be broken up largely into halls which house 1) Mercedes Benz 2) Sports cars: Ferrari and Jaguar 3) RR, Bentley and Jaguar 4) Porsche and 5) MG

After the beauties from Mercedes Benz, somehow the Ferraris and Jaguars weren't too exciting. More so the Jaguars. Their looks aren't aging well and definitely not timeless,so to speak. At the cost of offending a few, this section was a downer of sorts after the 300SL and the 540K

Being an offroad enthusiast, there's only so much interest other cars can hold so what awaited me next was not quite something I expected!

This completes my pictorial visit to the Lindsey Fox Car Collection. I went in with pretty much zero idea of what was in store and came back happy. It's not very often that a work trip abroad can get that smile on your face

I may not have much info about the cars here but there are many on this forum who can deep-dive into these cars!
