The Texas Transportation Museum at San Antonio, TX

Very recently, my young friend Mr Ambarish S. sent me some pictures of the Texas Transportation Museum at San Antonio, TX, that he visited near his workplace in Texas. The priceless exhibits drew my attention and I looked up its website to gather some more details. It has been established in 1964 to keep the transportation history of San Antonio alive and is a volunteer led organisation.

Some more facts from the website.

Keeping Transportation History Alive In San Antonio, TX Since 1964.
The Texas Transportation Museum is a volunteer led organization that collects, preserves and displays historically significant transportation equipment and related items. We operate a working passenger railroad, several model train layouts and many road vehicles. We provide an educational and entertaining experience which interprets how developments in transportation technology shaped and continue to impact daily life.
The museum celebrates Founder's Day on 19th June every year. Organisation of events are a part of their menu. For instance, the Model T Ford Show was organised on 8th May 2021 and on Founder's Day in 2021, an event "Santa's Railroad Wonderland' was held.

The exhibits can be viewed at:-

The railroad exhibits are quite classy with preservation to the last detail of the coaches, the period entrance point with a cast iron fence and stairs for ingress, the ornamentations on their inside including passenger cabins with period upholstery, period curtains, instructions for passengers, crew, the conductor's seat and his glass top work table, the catering bogie's kitchen with all the nitty gritty for cooking and the restaurant. These are all extremely well preserved. He has sent me two videos of the coach interiors.
