Classic army combat vehicle

I found this vehicle while browsing on flickr. Wanted to share it with you.

I love WWII era trucks and armoured vehicles. They look so mean with that split windshield.

Because of Barry's introduction thread, I saw this.

It's a 4X4 made by our ashok leyland. I like it. Especially the tyres.

Thats a M- Series Half -Track made by Whites Motor Co. and International Harvester.

Isnt this the STALLION. I've seen similar one's with a STALLION badge. Is this it?

Stallion is the name Ashok Leyland assigns to its 4x4 trucks.

thats one mean looking machine. our indian army should build something like this for sure.
seen something similar to this in pune belonging to the american army dont know how it made its way there though. one look in the rear veiw and you will definately get out of the way for it.

^^ I these half-tracks were discontinued after WWII as they are now obsolete...

OT: in the picture above, the front grill is closed. How then, do these combat vehicle provide ventilation to cool the radiator ??

maybe they do have a manual knob which opens and closes the radiator protector. when in combat you close it to save the radiator from bullets and otherwise you can keep it open. the vintage rolls royces also have the grill slots that open when the car is hot for added air intake to the radiator. this is done automaticaly and not manualy
