Cars at the Sharjah Old Car Museum.

These are pictures form a recent visit to the Sharjah Old Car Club & Museum.

Threre are around hundred cars which are owned by the Sheik and form the museum's collection.

The museum also has a restoration shop where these car and those of members of the club are worked on.

A Trio of nice Packards, a V12 eight and six,two RR s and a Bentley.

The Auburn Speedster is a beauty but has a few additions to its dash that are not so attractive.

Is the Auburn Speedster a genuine vintage? If so, what's the powertrain that she's running on? The tranny shift makes me wonder.

It is more likely to be one of the many Speedster replicas. They are very authentic to look at, and immensely more affordable as well as usable. Id love to have one some day, along with a 356 Speedster replica.

Its actually original but has had its engine replaced with soem kind of modern V8.

They have the original engine lying around with lots of work to be done on it.

Hi,

I had a chance to visit this museum earlier this year and took a lot of pictures, posting some of them. I would be happy to post more if anyone wants. The first visit was in the evening and hence the pictures are a bit dark outside and not very well illuminated inside, my apologies for that.

Hi,

Here are more pictures, i can upload only ten pictures each time i suppose. There was a sign in the museum talking about expansion happening. I did not see the Auburn which was present earlier. It could have been behind the museum where there were a lot of cars, i did wander around a little but i was apprehensive about checking out all of them. I was the only visitor in the place!

Are my eyes playing tricks or are many tyres of the wrong size? they look odd on some otherwise lovely cars.

I got the same impression. Pretty sure that at least a handful of these beauties are wearing upgraded shoes.
