Well Done Akshay380! Wonderful TL! You are indeed a very adventurous person. Brings back old memories as I used to be a cyclist way back in the seventies. Not any more! With 93 kgs to carry around the cycle frame may bend!
Best Regards,
Ashphil

Oh, My God! My heart just skipped a beat! This is the stuff dreams are made of. You seem to have extraordinary mental stamina and courage, that very few can dream of. Your travelogue is very inspiring.

Very well done Akshay. Inspiring biking story you have narrated here. I appreciate your mental strength and obviously the physical one as well.

BTW How were you after reaching Goa?

I have started cycling a few months back and have touched about 40 kms in one go and now have immense respect for long distance cyclists; this is wonderful!

PS: heard of a guy from the cycle club who just did Delhi-Goa in 5 days.
There is a group in Delhi who cycle daily. I think pedalyatri or something. Hitanshu may give you some leads if interested.

Have done this route (on 4 wheels only, sadly) many a time and know how mesmerising it is.
Have a longing for a trip like this on my BTwin, which I purchased a few months ago, but havent had the opportunity yet to full fill it..someday..
Why dont you join Bangalore Bikers Club | Google Groups mailing group? Riding with a group is awesome fun.

Yup! Thats the best thing about cycling. You can ride at the speed you want without bothering about crashing into someone

I am sure being on bicycle you would have enjoyed the scenic beauty much more than us driving the same route on 4 wheels.
Really curious to know how was the riding experience amidst the zipping cars, bikes, trucks etc?
Cyclists normally stick to riding on shoulders of left most lane. re trucks, they are cyclists friends. Specially the long haulers. Bikes/LCVs are a menace.

Haha. Dont know really. But I try to follow what someone said someday. 'You never Quit'

A good cycle can merrily carry 100kgs without any issues. And you are just 93! Why dont you restart it now?

Great Effort, Akshay! No thread on BZ?
This is not fair. You should have said couple of statements for extremely efficient Schwinn also.

By the way tire looks different. Are those 700X35C?

The tires are 700x28 Schwalabe Delta Cruisers. I am selling them off now.

I am usually panting and puffing after a 10km bicycle ride these days. What can I say? I can surely dream about this.

This is quite amazing stuff you've done to yourself and to others as well. The determination and fitness speaks for itself and now I hate myself for postponing that bicycle buying plan from an year!

Congrats, keep it going...
