Polarity electric cycle spotted testing

The Polarity electric bicycle has been spotted testing for the first time.

According to media reports, the Pune-based Polarity Smart Bikes is expected to launch this e-bike sometime this year. The spy image suggests that the e-bike could get a circular LED headlights and a flat handlebar with what appears to be a small instrument panel.

Reports suggest that the Polarity e-bike is likely to be powered by an electric motor with a rating of at least 250W and is said to have a claimed top speed of 100 km/h. It is likely to come with a lithium-ion battery and the range is expected to be 80 km. The bike has telescopic front suspension and a disc brake at the front.

Ha ha ha! Pretty sure this isnt a spy shot of a bike which was just spotted. More like a promotional shot.

But yes, should be interesting to see how it fares in the market.

Top speed of 100 kmph? Doesn't look likely with that kind of motor plus can the chassis even handle it?

Agreed with Nishsingh! That is definitely an intentional leak to create buzz around the bicycle. But then, most scoops are from insiders only. Just that this is a picture-perfect one.

Based on what I've read, a 250w motor would bring a top speed of anywhere between 30 - 50 kmph???

If this thing can attain 100 kmph speeds, rider could be in really unsafe zone.

My Hero Octane bicycle have the same size disc brake as this, in the front wheel .

Re: Polarity electric cycle spotted testing

This bike is launched as PMV personal mobility vehicle.
But I doubt if polarity has addressed the personal mobility requirements ! No storage , too lean posture which wont be comfortable for intracity long commutes.
What about the confidence level to ride the same to higher speed with such posture where both leg will have stretched cross posture.
