Nice ride, You are using the MTB true to it's name by using it in Himalaya, rest most of us are using in small trails

Did a 40km ride this morning. Tried a different route this time; not so enjoyable considering that half of the ride was through boring pavements/footpaths.

Saw many bikers waiting in this area to catch a glimpse of the sunrise. Sun had different plans – made a brief appearance and immediately went hiding behind the clouds

Night ride to Kamshet. My bread n butter, mora dar chawal 100 km loop, but from the old highway. The bypass is a mess. Faster, but a broth of traffic and mud.

Started out when it was totally dry in Poona. But sure enough the moment I reached open ground near the rise of Durga Tekdi ahead of Durga Cantt the rain started, and only got heavier on the highway.

Climbed the brand new flyover over Kamshet gaon leading directly to the mini climb for the first time. Nice. Much needed too. Kamshet was always a broken congested crawl and the residents too must be heaving a collective sigh of relief now that the highway passes above them.

Some amateur attempts at night photography on my camera. The blurry one with Blue lit up like a Christmas tree is me putting the flash on. However the light comes on but the photo takes ages to click. Don't know what's the issue. And the Camera app then started hanging so resorted to non flash photos and / or wating for the headlight of a passing vehicle. But that 3M tape sure catches light!











P.S. Spent more time cleaning and drying out the contents of my saddlebag (including soaked currency notes) than my bike. The whole inside of the bag was a mess of muddy water, and it had got inside the plastics I had individually wrapped everything in too. Need to ditch the bag for something out of the reach of the mud spray from the wheels.

P.P.S. For these longer than 2 hour rides, I'm carrying a second bottle in my center jersey pocket. Important to wipe it before taking the first sip (which is better spat out!) because it's got a nice mud coating over the business end and you then have mud grit swirling in your mouth. LOL
