Cycling Humour!-img20210822wa0003.jpg

Rainy Sunday morning washout!

Had some chocolate cake from the fridge and dived back onto bed.

Cheers, Doc

Re: Cycling Humour!

An old gem! Seen it in multiple social media platforms.

A cyclist is a disaster for the country's economy. Why?

-They do not buy the car & hence don't take a car loan
-They do not buy car insurance
-They do not buy fuel
-They do not send their car for servicing & repairs
-They do not use paid parking
-They do not become obese
Yes,.....and well, damn it !! Healthy people are not needed for economy. They do not buy drugs. They do not go to Hospitals & Doctors.

People who walk? Even worse! They do not even buy a cycle.

Re: Cycling Humour!

A few days ago I was searching for Bicycle lubricant in Flipkart. Thanks for those wretched cookies, now this is showing up in my recommended list on Flipkart. Someone at Flipkart wrongly tagged this under sports / cycle spares.

Product description (If you zoom in) says:

Heighten your passion with an intensifying sensation that entices you to discover each other in new ways

Re: Cycling Humour!

These are two awards to some wonderful examples of how NOT to lock your cycles in a public spot. Both pics are at Marina beach, Chennai

Runner-up: Please do note the lock is only between both frame top tubes, but NOT through/around the underlying metal boundary pole. One can just lift one of the cycle and walk away with the cycles without a bother!

First prize winner : the lock is only wrapped around the cycle seat, one can easily lift the lock cable over the seat and ride away with the cycle. Great work, I say

Edit: there's even a quick release to the seat so one can even get the cycle away from the lock without even touching the cable lock!

You have to be nuts to leave a nice bike out of line of sight anywhere, lock, cable, whatever.

Looking at that tail light on the RC 100 reminded me how I got my Australian K-Mart lights stolen off my cycle while I was collapsed on the ground in broad daylight meters away from the tree against which it was parked after a night 300 in peak summer.

Don't know who to blame but its obvious that someone knew what those lights were worth, was in the exact same vicinity (end CP) and knew how to get those lights off quickly.

Never leave your bike unattended. And never with stuff like pump and lights on it that can be whisked away literally in seconds, the time you take to turn around and turn back to look at the bike.
