One thing that was surprising when I started my car-hunt was the 'sun-film'. Invariably every car here has it. Eventhough most of good cars come with standard tinted glass, almost everybody go for sun films, many of them reflective and dark.
I am used to drive while I was in Gulf, most of the cars don't have sun-films (In countries like Kuwait, these are banned). They stick 'em on big vans called Suburbans so that the passengers are not seen by outsiders especially if they were women passengers.
To me, sun films reduce to a substantial level the visiblity on the sides, while driving. I am used to see through the side windows while drivign as well as use the side mirrors.
But the fact in India is you dont need to see on your sides while driving, as nobody do care who's coming next to you or behind you. You just make your way and move on. Dont look left, Dont look right. So, sun film or no sun film it really doesnt matter for most of the driverrs here.

This prevents the thief from removing the mirror. He cant get it out as the lock is smaller than the mirror and will not come out.

Has anybody seen anything as a "Bridge Cable". I saw an add in news paper as a must have accessories. (I am currently in UK on Business visit...well onsite visit :) )

The add said it is used to bring the battery back to alive from dorment if you can't crank. The add said it has 12V connector to be plugged in the car and other side of the cable to the terminals of battery.

I guess we might be having something like this right?

Anybody out there who has had parking sensors installed in a Civic? I asked the showroom guys and they said 5700 bucks per sensor :Shockked: . Can someone post some place in NCR where this can get done at a reasonable rate.

I guess Yes if Plugged in in the same car....:)

What if there are 2 cars out of which 1 is used as source and I think there was a unit in between....

The person said that the jack is made in Germany and Air Compressor Made in Malaysia (I think). both carry a 1 year warranty and retail for 9000 and 3000 incl taxes vat etc

yeah this looks like a better option. Do you know whether it can lift the safari and if its available in delhi

No it is not. I had it shipped from Chennai. It lifts the Scorpio to 'working' pressure in about 25 minutes and if you want the full 30 psi maybe a total of an hour. That's PER TYRE. That's because you need to give it time to cool down.

Nope they are not. This is the only pump available in India from Michelin:

I've personally seen the pump & it's a "Made in Germany" high-quality product which is something very useful for frequent travellers. Only deterrent is that at Rs.1600 or so, it's a tad expensive for a manual pump. But given a choice I would choose this one over most of the Local/Chinese made pumps.

How long do you think this one will take to get 30 psi per tyre? I was thinking in case of a flat tyre, it won't be of much use as the time taken to pump will be very high?
