Got this from the US. Have used another make on the Sumo two years back.

Helps a lot to protect the door edges. It's got a thread of paint-safe adhesive on the inside, and sits quite well.

On the flip side, people have asked me why is there such a big gap between the door & the door frame - till they realise there's a molding that's been put on the door edge.

@ Condor - That door stripe seems to be very apt even to minimise any road noise travelling into the cabin as well.

Any idea of it's availability in bombay,please. Any local ( india ) contact addresses or numbers please.

Am looking to do the same for my Indica & Safari doors - prior to monsoon. Earlier the better.

Recommendation to avoid Teflon Coating is news for me. I was told by my mechanic that Teflon could have helped in preventing color fade on my Red car and I felt sorry that I never opted for a Teflon Coat whenever I see the faded roof.

I had an incident of a small wound while changing the wheels on a long journey where my bandages and antiseptic cream were pretty old and useless. We have a FA Kit supplied with the car, but very less people take care to update the kit by tracking the expiry dates on the medicines and bandages. Can someone list me the vital elements in a First Aid Kit, or guide me to similar posts.

Shrikanth, sorry - dont know of availability in India. I have seen one car with this, but for mine, I got the stuff from US.

Go to Life Ken - they have a small FA kit, retailing at 200/-

Good idea! Placing it under the seat also has other strategic advantages like obliterating the smell of the driver farting!

This was picked up from Pep Boys. You can also check the regular auto-parts chains like NAPA, Kragen etc.

A GPS device is better option now that they are dropping prices. Especially if you have Indian maps loaded.

off-beat is the buzzword. The GPS will only cover cities and major motarable roads and areas. Good old compass would come in handy.

BTW how many of us will actually go for GPS?
GPS usage is still at its infancy in India.
IMHO it will take a long time to mature (In terms of cost & coverage)
