At this rate, any car that comes at the price will be considered an enthusiast's car! The 800 is barebones transport. Quite a far cry from driver's delight.

What about Hyundai Getz CRDI? Performance-wise it was one of the quickest and most powerful hatchbacks in the country. A pity about the brakes though. A recent Getz CRDi should cost much less than 6 Lakhs! The few times I have driven the car, it managed to blow me away! Definitely enthusiast material!

so the guys i was buying it from finally got their act together and got all the original documents of the car. i took delivery today. all i can say is this car is absolutely vfm for the price at which i bought it. it was pretty quick and the ride is good. the v6 engine is very very refined. now this car hasnt been for a service in a very long time. i think i will let it run for a few days and give it for a service and get all the fluids changed next week.

as of now in the next 6 months or so what i want to get done is -
17/18" rims and fatter tyres.
some decent ice
angel eyes and xenons.

will see after that about a remap, intake and ffe.

Akshay,

It would be great if you could start a separate thread on your new Accord rather than continue on this thread. We're looking forward to the pictures of your car and the plans that you have up your sleeve

You read my mind . Accent Tornado is really fun to drive but not very common in market.

@GTO, consider Hyundai 1.6 DOHC version too.

It is one of the threads that I never miss to visit even for one day. It is so informative and it is touching the segment of the used car market that is not very popular with the first time buyers. I am sure it this information is common, we will see so many first time buyers who will choose to go for used car. I always liked Contessa but never knew that it could be an enthusiast cars. I would love to buy it one day and than mod it to give it the looks of the muscle cars that we normally see in the fast and the furious series.

The Chinkara's a heck of a project car, but not really to an enthusiasts taste in stock form. Plus, its rarer than a Ferrari Enzo in India

Not with that steering and suspension, it isn't!

Agree 100%! Absolute VFM. You bought a car that's 90% E-Class, at a fraction of the price, and with 10X better reliability. About time you treat us to some pictures (in a separate thread please).

How about San Storm? I believe there are quite some numbers sold in India, perhaps the only affordable cabrio.

Its cute but not a driver's car at all. Its more about the show than the go.
