In some contexts, the word "sedan" may be used to denote any car with a fixed hard roof (as opposed to a soft roof convertible) and not just a 3-box saloon car. My guess is that a 5 door sedan should be read as a vehicle with a fixed roof and 5 doors (in other words, a hatchback/hatchback-like car) in this context.

:OT Since terms like sedan, cabriolet, station wagon etc. are very old and date back to the days of horse-drawn carriages or even earlier, their original meaning may be somewhat different from the modern usage of such terms. :)
